ZMapp, as many of you have heard, is an experimental Ebola treatment. It is a combination of three different monoclonal antibodies that bind o the protein of the virus. It has been shown to have cause spontaneous improvement in the infected individual's condition. However it's safety and effectiveness is still being monitored as it is not an FDA approved treatment. Many people have asked if it shows so much improvement, why not send it to all treatment centers, ignoring the obvious risks of this treatment. The answer is that all available doses have been given out. As an experimental treatment, it was not intended as a major cure, and has not been manufactured as such. As of now, it seems like a good bet for the survival of the infected, as the disease continues to spread.
