Okay so, I would really appreciate a new laptop for various reasons:
1) When I bought this laptop, it had Microsoft Office installed into it, but whenever I attempt to open a Word doc. this pops up ↓ http://i58.tinypic.com/28hq7bc.jpg
2) I sort of dropped this like two times already from like 2ft. above hte ground already so yeah....
3) This laptop is too bulky, and is pretty heavy
4) The internet sound isn't working no matter how many tutorials and videos I go through.
...You're probably wondering how this thing is still alive, aren't you? Yeah... me to. Anyways one last detail, I'm actually interested in making my own firewall (boredom) so I looked up a few articles and I'm pretty sure this computer isn't adequate for the job. Any suggestions on which computer I should buy? It should be on the cheap side as well, but if I can, I can fish out a few extra bucks if I feel like it's the "perfect match".

You're interested in building your own firewall..? I mean, if you understand programming, how do you not at least understand computer hardware?
