In the process of planning and researching how to make something like it but does the same thing, but i've hit an problem. I need a device for the retracting unit to pull the user along as your swinging on it and capable of carrying weigh. Any ideas? Please be positive

Couldn't you just use some sort of exoskeleton?

Not a bad idea...

If you're basing this off of maneuver gear specs, you shouldn't be having TOO much trouble, since they do have valid specifications. A high powered motor that reels the wire back in after firing could to the trick. Keep in mind that the maneuver gear was created with fast 3D movement in mind, so it would have to be a lightweight and compact. Something that powerful, yet small and light enough to carry around without over-incumbering yourself would likely have to be custom made.

You actually do have a bit of a problem on your hands. The main problem is going to be the retracting system; it has to be able to retract the cable fast enough to make the maneuver gear work, but it also has to be able to haul the weight of the person using it as well, which brings another problem: keeping the maneuver gear from jarring the user too much. The cable would also have to be extremely friction-resistant and light, as well as having a high tensile strength

It's easy to find something to carry your weight on. There's tons of wires that can do it. What you're going to need is to either buy or make your own air compression engine that works both ways.

Also to keep it from jarring too much you'll need a sort of built in gyroscope that keeps your body and the apparatus balanced at all times.
