Now that my computer is fixed, I have another question. I just recently got a 1080p 46 inch RCA HDTV. I watch a lot of HD videos on my 21.5 inch computer monitor which is also 1080p, however, I'd like to watch these videos on a much bigger screen. However, when I connect my computer to my TV using HDMI, all that showed up was my desktop background. And when I plugged it in, I had youtube up so that didn't make sense. There weren't even any desktop icons. So I'm wondering if there was something else I was supposed to do? I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and use an HDMI cable.

>>1 you did it right however you probably have it on Extend. this is normal. if you want icons use duplicate, there should be a Projection key or F1 to change this. you also have to make another tab on chrome and drag that tab onto the screen you connect it to.

Well I want to use the TV as a single screen, not a second screen. So I guess it was considering the TV to be the second screen then? How do I get it to just use the TV?

If you are using a Windows machine, press Windows key and P until it looks right.
