Hey fellow Dollars, I just wanna know if there are any of you who knows any other way of hacking/cracking wi-fi encrypted passwords. Well, one way i have heard is using the linux distribution Backtrack with one of its feature called Reaver. I don't know if it is true since i have not tested it yet.So is there any other way of cracking Wi-fi passes (WEP or WPA) other than using penetration programs. THnks!!

Reaver is almost worthless. It doesn't deal with brute force protection except by waiting and it only works with WPA. Against routers from 10 years ago, it was good. Now, it's not.

If this is going to be a discussion on how the technology works, I'd be happy to discuss. But, I don't want this to turn into a source of information on 'How to hack'. I feel we can put this forum to better use than that.

>>2 So Reaver cannot crack passwords anymore, shame.

>>1 How about no, as we do not support hacking here in any shape or form, as it's an illegal activity.

>>5 No, it is not.

Cracking passwords is not illegal in all countries outside than the US.
In my country, it is only illegal to use someone's WiFi service without their express written permission. Getting their password in the first place is not using any service they are paying for, and therefore is not illegal.

However, I suspect most people are after free WiFi, and not necessarily testing technology, so that would be illegal to use it without their permission.

then again counstructing bombs isn't really illegal either, but I wouldn't want to see any easy DIY tutorials here

>Using meme arrows on site that doesn't add green text class.
>Be 12, trying to correct and put everyone down.
>Not knowing how to do either.

Good job.
You're a douche.

well, I'm in Philippines, and i think it's not illegal here to crack wi-fi passwords. Or maybe I'm just not bothering with the laws our country has to offer, just living life not interested with the crappy government.

People use smileys on sites that don't have any smiley features, isn't that just about the same ? My point is right, by the way, I don't see why I should not get to correct it. You don't sound any convincing called me twelve about everywhere I post.
