I'm a script kiddy, yes. And i'm just starting in this coding thing with HTMLs but still, there are many codes that won't work on notepad. So I'm thinking if anyone could give me a good HTML editor to work on. Thanks!

'there are many codes that won't work on notepad' HTML doesn't work on notepad, it can be written. From what you wrote, I suggest learning what HTML actually stands for and how it relates to HTTP. For an editor, I suggest Notepad++. It will recognize the syntax, markup if you will, and help.

Fully endorsing notepad++ usage because clarity in relation to syntax

I use Sublime text editor, and it has a wide range of applications. Notepad++ is also very good. You'll be hard pressed to find a dedicated IDE for just HTML, as far as I know.

If you don't want to pay then there's always Aptana Studios..Dreamweaver is better, but aptana kinda works the same but not really.

Dreamweaver > Aptana > Notepad ++

>>5 I've never even used N++ for HTML, but I have used Dreamweaver. It seemed pretty good.

Well, it seemed pretty good when I last used it...in high school...

>>8 I don't really do a lot of HTML, when I do it's in Sublime.

I haven't used Dreamweaver in years but it was easy enough for me to use back when I was a beginner.

>>11 Sooo. what are you writing now?? Well I may have to ask, but is combining javascript and HTML a no-go? (a script-kiddy question)

>>12 I have not done much work with HTML, only basic stuff. My main work is in Python. As for combining them, there are a lot of online tools that let you use Javascript, CSS, and HTML all at once to produce one product, although I cannot say I have used them for that purpose.

I am probably not the right person to ask for advice on this matter.

Notepad++ is easy to use and gets the job done.
Aptana Studio was a hell for me. It's literally the slowest IDE I've ever seen or used. Even Eclipse is faster (and I find that slow too).
Dreamweaver is something you shouldn't consider if you love yourself.

Seeing as you are on Windows, I'd suggest going with Notepad++ for now. It'll do what you want, and it'll do it good enough.

If there's any help you need, feel free to join on the Rizon IRC server in channel #scriptkitties, there's usually someone around who can help you out

I just started using Sublime Text 3. I'm loving it so far.

There's always Arachnoid as well. It basically does everything for you & you just fill in. Of course it's not necessarily an ideal way of learning.
