I did not see a thread of this particular subject. So my question to fellow computer technology enthusiasts, do you know of a way to mod windows 8 to share internet via wifi hot spot.
I've heard rumors of programs that were made because windows 8 has been stripped of some networking capabilities that were since windows 2000-windows 7. I just don't want to buy a router because my house is too small for a network. I heard a rumor that there was this program called virtual router plus but when I went to the site the program had no place to download.

But the main reason I made this thread is for people to show off they're mods such as wifi repeaters, antennas, cell phone mods. just anything really.

Glad I could help! I've used that program for years. The free version works well enough, but the paid versions are even more fantastic.

Been a little confused with windows 8, the capabilities are still they're in the networking panel but for people who can't access it. I'm one of the first rate technicians that graduated from the vocational school of computer systems tech and still can't figure it out.

if you want to share a network with Windows 8 just follow this step

-Open your Command Prompt as an Administrator
-then type this => netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=(Just Write The Name of Hotspot You Want) key=(The Password)
-Press Enter, then type this => netsh wlan start hostednetwork
-And press enter
