itunes content on non-apple systems (5)

I have itunes on windows, but I don't have an ipod or ipad. Does anyone know how to convert itunes books to be useable on windows?

You have no idea how much googling that I have tried already. I'm trying to see if anyone has a better idea than chasing down a discontinued program or paying $30 for an overpriced program that I will only use once.

Books that are purchased on the iTunes store are stored in a DRMed ePub format. Look for a reader program that can read ePub files and see if the DRM allows it to be read.
