Like they actually had the money to buy all of that steel rope and actual weapons by using actual spears at the end of it, I'm pretty sure that is way too dangerous for public unless if a giant appears XDXD

It would be awesome if it actually worked the way it does in the anime. Watch a kid go flying through the sky to fight giants in the next 10 years

Someone did. It shoots the hooks which are magnets, so they stick to metal and the back part where the air comes out to control the turns and stuff actually releases air. Obviously not powerfull enough to propel an adult through the sky. Would make an awesome cosplay or Halloween outfit.

You forget these things require skill to be used and I doubt they would use kids to fight titans.

Also, what spears are you guys talking about? I'm going to assume you guys mean the hooks that stick to the walls.
