Does any one know a good free/open source programs for 2D/3D, animation, video/photo edeting? I don't have enough money to buy that kinda programs and if I don't want to really pirate them if there is a free alternative and that they are just as good, or at least maybe more amature friendly?

I highly promote Gimp. once you get used to it it's a very nice program

I use Paint.Net most often. I heard gimp was good, and I'm sure it is, I just couldn't get the hang of it. I still don't understand a lot of it, for some reason GIMP just doesn't work for me (I'm kinda stupid with these things.) Paint.Net is free, and really really simple; but can do anything I've ever needed for picture editing. Transparency, filters/effects, color adjustments, open source so you can really find anything by googling a bit (I recommend the Grim Color Reaper.) After about an hour or two of fiddling with it you have the whole thing down really. Think default MS Paint, mixed with Photoshop from a couple years back, then throw out all the complicated stuff you'd hardly ever use [but again, you can download a lot of extras.] :P
