The holidays are right around the corner and new systems will be on the market. Great systems such as the Playstation 4 and the XBox One, but hold on there because Nintendo is dropping the price of the Nintendo WiiU's 32GB system.
Not only this but they are also going to make a new portable system that will basically be the 3DS without the 3D, and no "3D graphics are going to be appearent" ~Yahoo News.
I think this is a nice thing to do since this device will be 130$USD, but how about the power of said device, how much will be changed from the 3DS? State your opinions and thoughts on the matter.

Those with the chance to try it have told me that is was very comfy in your hands, but I think it needs bigger screens for this.

I just don't get why they have to make another portable console just to make money when it does nothing more than a 3ds can.

I also don't like how you can't fold it in half like you can with the other ds's . Makes it so it can't fit in your pocket.

Wasn't this talked about on another board already?
It was designed to market it towards people who didn't like the 3D, even though the 3D was toggleable. Like for parents concerned for their children's eyesight, or stupid people who are stubborn about their hatred for the gimmick. Besides, it's $50 less for a removed feature, which many people called a gimmick - foldable screen aside.
People lambaste nintendo for even considering to make it for some reason, as if it really took away from their other content. If it was nintendo itself that made it, it isn't taking away from any game development, if that was your concern. Just get the normal 3DS and stop bitching already.

People made it out of their ways to afford a bigger DS for the XL models JUST because they were bigger, so I don't think it should be a problem for a durable portable system.

Even though this thread came out 2 days before the one in the GAME board everything should just move to there.
