How do you write protect an external/portable HD? my friends always copy files from me, sometimes we use the HD on public computers, and whenever I get back to my computer I have to scan and clean it for malwares
So is there a way that only my computer can read and write on the HD and all other computers can ONLY read from my hd(unless I type a password or something)?

Can't you set permissions for the HDD for everyone to have read permissions, but not write, and you have full permission?

I'll give full control for administrators and system, then only read for "Authenticated Users"?... does authenticated users mean everyone else?
