I've been using utorrent for a while, but lately it hasnt been letting me torrent from sites it usually does. I've uninstalled, set it up again, and no change. So, does anyone know any other trusted torrent clients?

Are you sure the problem isn't firewall settings or insufficient seeds?

what do you mean by, "not letting me torrent"?...

That happened to me. My Utorrent updated and the updated client wasn't on the white list(allowed torrent clients list) so the trackers wouldn't work and none of my torrents from certain sites worked. I would try downgrading to Utorrent 3.2 since most sites allow its use as a client. That's what worked for me.

A friend of mine brags on about this client...I don't use it but at the least other people like it.

It's not so much about the actual torrent client, but the peers you're connected to.
Say perhaps a private p2p community where you have to be either invited, or trusted to join. It's a lot less likely you'll be prosecuted that way.

Another recommendation is peer block, which blocks a lot of cooperate company ips from logging other peers who are downloading their material.

>>11 private p2p is f2f and what you are describing is f2f none-torrent file sharing

>>12 Nnnnot really. There are actual private torrent p2p networks that have people seeding all the time. It's not just one network sharing the private file, if that's what you're asking.

A good example would be animebytes.tv .

While f2f is only accessible with strict means, the way in which I'm describing could have a scenario where the torrent file is leeched.
