In this thread we post our most visited or favorite sites, what they are, and why we love them. Be sure to include NSFW if the site is explicit. Please don't link to this site, because it's kind of obvious we all frequent it. Avoid obvious ones like Facebook, Wikipedia, 4chan, etc. You may link to derivatives of such sites though, such as...

7chan and 420chan - NSFW - Contrary to popular belief, there are other imageboards than 2chan and 4chan. These are two such sites. People go on 420chan more when 4chan is down, and 7chan gets a little bit of activity. If you're bored with 4chan and can't speak Japanese well enough to frequent 2chan, then give these a try.

MIT Technology Review - This is one of the best sources for tech news I've come across. They report on everything from computers to energy to the environment, and you'll learn something new every time you visit. Highly recommended for technophiles everywhere.

BBC Future The British Broadcasting Corporation is known throughout the world, and is one of the oldest news companies out there. Surprisingly, BBC Future is not as well known. It's a newer derivative of BBC's website, and they focus their reporting on stories that will shape the paradigm of our society. Everything from theoretical technologies to evolving cultural trends is covered.

Wolfram Alpha - Wolfram is amazing. It's a knowledgebase unlike any other. It's a discovery engine and calculator unlike any other. You can use it to learn about new things, or you can do what I do and use it to perform complex derivatives and integrals and so on. Anyone in high school or college will NEED to learn about this website.

43 Things - This site is basically a glorified life checklist. You list the things you want to do in life, and create a sort of checklist to keep track of it all. People may comment on your activities and cheer you on. It provides a sort of incentive to keep accomplishing your goals. If you're into that sort of thing, I recommend giving it a try.

DubHappy and Crunchyroll - I flock to these two sites when I want to watch dubbed anime. Crunchyroll also provides subbed anime. Check them out if you want to try something new in your anime lineup.

Internet Movie Firearms Database - IMFDB is a Wikispace listing the various weapons used by characters of Movies, TV Shows, Anime, and Videogames.

Instant Boss This single-serving site has a button that shouts "LIKE A BOSS!" Do it four times and watch something awesome happen, then rinse and repeat.

The Fucking Weather - This is text-based weather site that gives a fuck. Actually, it gives quite a few fucks. So go and check your fucking forecast.

Fanfiction.Net - As the name implies, this site is for fanfics, or stories based on existing media. For example, Lucky Star fanfiction is stories based on the Lucky Star characters, in scenarios created by the fans themselves. If you feel like doing some reading, check it out. Stories from literally every series imaginable can be found.

Literotica - NSFW - As the name implies, this is a site for erotic stories. It's openly accessible but they do have a disclaimer for those under 18. That disclaimer is there for a reason, but if you're underage and want to read smut stories, nobody's stopping you.

The Cheese and Burger Society - This site, narrated by Patrick Warburton, is for anyone who loves cheeseburgers and wants to find new and exciting ones to try out. It also lists some interesting types of cheeses to try.

Wapedia - This is a mobile version of Wikipedia. If you have a mobile device I recommend it because pages load a lot faster. If you're not on a mobile device it just redirects to Wikipedia.
