Google has released an App that is similar to the Eden of the East program, Google Goggles, it uses image recognition, so naturally the phone you access the app on must have a camera.

It is available on Android, iPhone and Blackberry devices.

The app is still somewhat in development, so it doesn't recognize all objects. It can only recognize things such as paintings, landmarks, street signs and business cards. It cannot recognize objects such as animals, handbags and foods.

This app actually has been out for a while. And I've tested it out, it should reconize most of everything now ^&^ (except people.)

That's awesome, how much money is it.

I use this quite a bit to scan QR and bar codes but beyond that have had little use for it. And >>3 it's free.

Oh cool! I heard about this maybe a year or two ago, and back then it wasn't working so well. I guess they fixed it. I'd love to try it out~!

A good reason for me to get an Android now.

This is great, if they improve the system and gets better, i bet it would be famous. Probably >_>
