wich system do you prefer, why, and also post gamer tags if you want/dont mind adds.

personally i prefer the ps3 because of the built in web browser, wider selection of games, and imo slightly better graphics.

however i only own a 360.

I don't have either, but being a fan of the Sony systems, I'd have to say PS3.
Each system seems to have their good and bad points. PS3's free online connection but much higher price vs the breakability of the 360 (my friend had gone through 3 of them) and charged online play/cheaper. But I'm gonna have to stay loyal to Sony.

Gonna break the chain and go with the 360 because, sure, you may have to be charged for xbox live, but you get you're money's worth. Most xbox's nowadays come with all of the equipment you need, unlike the ps3, and the ps3 system itself is a lot more expensive than any xbox out there, unless you buy a used ps3. Sure there's that red ring of death, but if you're smart, you can fix it yourself like I did. 3 times. And i personally believe that the 360 has more, better exclusive games IE Halo, Gears of War, Fable, Left 4 Dead, but that's just my personal opinion. And about graphics... graphics don;t make a game/console. Look at Minecraft.

That may be true that graphics don't make the game, that I can agree. But the storytelling/purpose has too. And no offense to any Xbox fans but most 360 games (the ones only for 360, not counting the games that are multi-platform) don't have that deep core storytelling or purpose as do let's say Nintendo and Sony/PS3 do.

I must prefer the PS3 not only because of the enhance graphics but because lots of it's exclusive games have great compelling stories and/or great games in general. I could name a few but I just wanna cut right down to the chase and say straight out that yes the PlayStations are a hell of expensive but they are worth it in the long run unlike the 360...The xbox never "clicked" to me so I guess that's my view on it. *shrugs* Not saying anything bad about the 360 since I do own one as well as a ps3, but that's only because of the kinect. Which I gotta say is pretty interesting but even that is very limited since I doubt they'd do a "Halo Kinect" anytime soon...

Xbox. Since hte origjnal. My first Xbox game: Halo. Owned every game since. Got the 360, just for Halo 3. And 360 games do have awesome storytelling. Mass Effect was originally Xbox Exclusive before EA got their hands on it. Halo also has a very interesting story, as does Gears of War. Not bashing the PS3 though. I want one, but too expensive for me, even the used ones. I want it mostly for the PS3 Exclusive Final Fantasy games and of course Resistance. Though looking forward to Final Fantasy Versus XIII the most.

there more or less the same except for the games but looking at them without the games, xbox 360 wins because you can play xbox games on it where as with ps3 you cant play ps1 or ps2 games on it, and that just bugs me

Um not to be a "know-it-all" but >>7 you're incorrect. The PS3 is backwards-compatible. O.o My PS3 can play all PS1 and PS2 games. I play Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy 7 & 8 on it no problem. So unless you have the slim PS3 (which I heard they took off the compatibility to make it "thin") then in a sense you are "correct".

And if it bugs you so much (I know it would me! lol) you could also buy the compatibility back through the playstation network. *shrugs* My friend did that to his slim so now he can play all the old games too. :P

I won't lie tho' I do love me some Fable which looks great on the 360, but yeah FF and KH games are just the best! And yush, the Wii totally is great! 8D

PS3 always. xbox 360s do not play Yakuza 4.

I'm pretty neutral. I have an Xbox because I am an fps fan and the Xbox's triggers were practicably made for fps games, whereas the PS3's triggers feel sort of funky to me.

I am an Xbox player. I like the xbox better because it has more of the games no one ever heard off. Some of those games are the best and they helped me in my childhood.
