Viruses And Hacks (16)

Yo , around the summer of 2011 , my laptop had gotten the
Trojan-BNK.Win32.Keylogger.gen virus . Took me an hour to try to remove it because i had noe idea what was happening . I couldn't use my internet and I felt like trying to fix it byself , and i did . All i had to do was go to system restore in my computer and restore my laptop back a few days or before the virus came in . Then just a few days ago , my mom's laptop got the same virus but it was an improved virus so i couldn't get into the system and restore in the laptop because the virus stopped me , so i turned off the laptop and pressed f8 while laptop was booting up . and then i restored the laptop and the virus was gone yet again .
So if you ever get a virus , you should try that . c;
And was wondering if anyone knows how to chat in drrr chat at school , since school blocks things . Yeauh . .

I got that Windows Security 2012 virus from MangaFox awhile back. (It goes by other names too, though.) I usually do the same thing that you do (system restore in safe mode) or manually remove it myself by deleting registry keys, but this one was really nasty. ):

It wouldn't even let me run system restore. Safe Mode didn't stop it either. I deleted it manually, but it took everything else with it. I had to restore it just to get everything back.

Luckily I could still use task manager, so I just ended whatever process the virus was or whatever to buy enough time to run a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scan as an administrator.

I've steered clear of MangaFox ever since.

>>3 I've gotten it from the Yu-Gi-Oh Wikia and I did exactly what you did with Malwarebytes.

>>5 a ton of people are having a similar problem from their computers, me included ='( , i have not found a solution to this yet but am working hard to find a solution on my end. however for the time being i suggest you send an email to the support team of the chat.

if however that becomes fixed and the school starts to block it use proxies if you don't mind risking being caught.

Well idk about the chat we have now. But maybe the new chat I'm helping to create won't be blocked by your school.

Oh and try Comodo Security, it's got a wider defense for free than something like Microsoft Security Essentials.

Malwarebytes. Get it. It's free.

Oh, and download RKill too. So when your internet is rendered unusable, you can easily get it back by running RKill and killing the virus process temporarily.

>>8 for now.
they can update what the system blocks all they want.
And to deal with whatever virus issue your dealing with, just do a system restore. Or whatever thing restores it to a previous date. Idk if its for all comps, but its on windows ... 7? I dont know my own computers name, im such a failure.

>>11 you do not need to know the name of your computer, some proxie sites only require you to get to them and type the address of the site you wish to get on.

here is a list of proxies, i have never used any of these so i cannot gaurentee they are safe to use but, if they work more power to you. also there are some you can put onto your thumbdrive. LOVE GOOGLE NOW!!! http://www.proxysites.net/

AVG or Malwarebytes.

AVG has a trial version.when your ready u can remove it OR...convert it to the free 2012 protection that works better than storebought protections.

MalwareBytes...i would recommend PAYING for a complete version.I had it 30 days and my god it was incredible. It even gives u a simllified notepad file telling wsht it found in a log form.

Oh my god you people are bad at life.
To get past school (or almost any other) internet security, use a proxy. Google can teach you.

As you idiots probably don't know, not all viruses, such as rootkits, can be delted through a system restore. Before you be stupid, get on a clean device on a different network and google your issue and find other resolutions. Also, use a damn firewall/virus blocker
