GENTLEMEN! I give you, COOL CAD STUFF! (CAD means Computer Aided Drafting, FYI)

You can buy SketchUp Pro for an astonishing 90% off by having an email address that ends in .edu (since that pretty much proves that you're a college student). Why would you want to do this, you ask? Well, SketchUp Pro has even more tools than the free version, including exporters to AutoCAD. So, you can make a 3D model in SketchUp and then export it as a professional architectural layout in AutoCAD. Inversely, you should be able to create a drawing in AutoCAD then import it into Sketchup as a 2D or 3D model.

There is now a free version of AutoCAD on the Cloud! AutoCAD WS (WorkSpace) allows you to take existing DWG files (the standard filetype for AutoCAD and edit them. With over 100 tools it's quite versatile for the typical user. And, it allows you to access your designs wherever you are.
