im trying to help my dad make rings using a cnc machine but we are not buying until we figure out this whole process so can someone please explain how all of this works

well cnc machines are hellishly expensive ( it would be cheaper to have someone/company that has one to do it for you) but basically you would program the machine to machine out an object, depending on the type you might not be able to do some parts of the rings but it just depends on the machine

also what might be an option is having a person/company with a 3d printer (also hellishly expensive) design the rings on the computer and print them, that way you can make a mold with the print ( its a sort of bond together chalky stuff) and then cast as many rings as you want

my dad has been doin this for years, hes 50 years old and getting tired straining his eyes, we need this so any help on how to use the stuff helps
