Wouldn't you just LOVE a companion who never got sick, argued, and let's you surf the internet? Well that's what a persocom is for. These humanoid robots can do all that and more!
Come on people, wouldn't it be AWESOME if they were real?!?!?!?
I like computes better really, I mean how are you supposed to game one a persocom? I think persocom's are just truly for show; or that's what it would be if they were real.

The technology for creating androids and gynoids akin to persocoms has been crudely developed for some time - google Repliee if you don't believe me. To get androids to function on a mass-marketable basis will require refinement of the technology involved, but this is hardly out of reach of our lifetimes.
