Which would do you think is better for doing research or any other work/activities?
Which add-on do you suggest fellow dollars members to download?
In my case, Mozilla Firefox is sufficient and the tree-tabbing add-on can be pretty handy. :D

I'm using Google Chrome. It is the fastest browser out there and the most minimalistic one. In extentions, I have adblock plus, Mcafee site advisor, and WOT (Web of Trust).

Google Chrome is the best browser in general. It also supplies all the add ons for you. And comes with Plants vs. Zombies now ^^

Firefox. Yay for being in the minority. Actually I've always used it and it never did anything to make me want to switch. Even though I've had the feel that it's becoming more and more like Chrome, with the tabs on top and all.

I mostly use chrome, once and awhile I'll use firefox when things load slowly in chrome. I thought chrome was great and convenient but since firefox's update, they have similar features that put them at an equal advantage in my book(at least in this case).
For chrome I suggest Adblock and Adsweep, and if you usually have a bunch of tabs open like I do, TooManyTabs for Chrome can come in handy. I use other extensions like "stop autoplay for youtube", "Megaupload DownloadHelper", and "Scroll To Top Button" but those are more specific towards my personal use although I would recommend them if anyone thinks it'll be of use to them.

I use to be an IE person. Swore up and down that I would not switch over to Firefox. Even got my Girlfriend to start a Life-Long-Mission to convert me to Firefox. Then I got a virus on a site I constantly go on. Now I use Firefox with No-Script. All Virus Problems Solved FOREVER.

Used IE for years, but it's positively the worst. I didn't even think anything of it until I switched, but it really is bad. The main reason is, they never change their coding, which makes it too easy to hack, even on generally safe sites. I use chrome now, not because it's some "new advance" but it's very straightforward. You can buy apps for it, but otherwise it doesn't do anything in the way of shoving new product down your throat.

Feels kinda funny updating a post a made 8 years ago, but for the software developers out there : use Chrome, but don't forget to test on Firefox and Safari. Also, everyone, please abandon IE and Edge to make life easier for web devs out there.
