Oh this is true, a lot of the really good torrent sites are invite only - I'd love to be a part of them, but my internet makes my upload/download ratio complete shit.
300mb/DL/UP a day limit... If I devoted my entire day to nothing but doing a download and upload, I MIGHT reach a 1:1 ratio.
A great thing for other people though!

Does Google+ count? I have access to that and a bunch of invites just sitting here. Actually, considering how empty it is (compared to facebook and the like) it would be cool if the dollars could communicate on there. With the circles feature, Dollars stuff could stay within the dollars.

I would definitely invite a bunch of dollars people if they had public circles or semi-public circles on Google+ so that we can all stay together in a known group. It is a popular idea, so if they implement that feature, we can use it.

I have a Google+ account, but I'm currently too busy to poke things around with it. Gonna play with it on the weekends if I have time.

I'd stick with private irc chatrooms, we could suggest somebody to mess with the script of the current chatroom setup to provide passwords for user-created rooms I guess. That'd be good.
