Okay, so my computer runs on vista and ive been thinking up upgrading to windows 7.. Since everyone praises window 7 for bein better than vista(which i wont argue with since i have bad experiences with windows vista).
What I want to know is, if i upgrade my pc, what do i have to look forward too? Ive done all the maintainance i know to on it so will 7 gran less freezing?
I mean, i really what to know how the upgrade would make it better before i go out and just try it.
I do have some friends that have windows 7 and their computers dont seem to give them much of a problem at all but i didn't go through their specs to know what else makes it run that well.

well, if you wanna upgrade from vista to 7, i suggest you to fresh install it...but there is one weakness 7 that i experience, some older pc/laptop doesnt support 7, so you have to use vista driver to install it(exmple, launch manager usually in laptop)...

yeah i was planning on a fresh install, i have another hard drive installed that I've backed everything up on. My computers about 3 years old and I ran a recommendation test on my pc and it said 7 home premium or ultimate can run on it..
so I'm thinking I'm going to go for it and install it..

just do it...7better than vista(though vista is cooler bcoz of its black design)...remember to install vista driver when there's no 7 driver...

Yep, its done and I'm diggin it.
Its gunna take awhile to get everything the way I want it though... And, it's just not my style. I like a more simplistic look.. Vista's to sleek for me ;o...

Well I find it to be much more responsive then vista. My vista... got totally screwed up because of an update for vista... it was so annoying trying to fix.. although I am having an issue with my windows 7 task manager.. it wont end processes...

well, if you have old pc, try using win 7 vs vista...the difference in performance is so significant...thats why its better to go for 7 than vista for old machine...

Windows 7 works fine for me - I really haven't had any problems. But then I never had many problems with vista either, although I do agree that the whole interface was needlessly clumsy to lose.

o.O I guess I should have put "OS" instead because I was interested in learning the taste of the OS systems. I've used windows 98,xp,vista,and now 7.
I think skins are different from the actual OS unless you were referring to what we were discussing earlier about how vista looked :o..

Seriously, Vista had problems. A lot of them. Windows 7 seems to have addressed those problems. But Windows XP has one-up over Windows 7, and that's the ability to run DOS programs (as in MS-DOS, not Denial Of Service). I will never be able to revisit my childhood on a Windows 7 computer.
