Basically what the title says, Messi quits after the last game he played, Chile v.s Argentina. it was going on for like 2 hours and neither of the teams score 1 point, both were at 0-0. He screwed up during the penalties thus making Chile win. Your thoughts?

I've gotta say there are a lot of people calling him a loser and a quitter for this, but I 100% respect his decision. After losing four major championships in the final round with his team and never succeeding, and being torn apart by your country for each loss, there comes a point wher it's not worth the weight of captaining a team just to see it loose with yourself taking a hefty amount of the blame. Messi may play like a god, but he's human too, and he's getting older. If he wants to step away from the weight of his international career and spend more time with his club, the place he really enjoys being, Or even if that extra time is spent resting, so that Messi can remain in his prime longer and not burn himself out, then I say by all means do it.
