I'm a high school soccer player looking to learn from other Dollar soccer players. I play forward, and seem to have the worst sense of positioning. Any have advice?

Well, a good positioning would depend on the position of others. Unless your coach tells you to stay in place the whole time for the sake of good chemistry, I'd advise being flexible with where you stay during a match. Obviously if you are offense, you shouldn't be going all the way to the end of your side of the field. But if you think it's necessary that you move a little back, then you should move a little back.

Just realized how vague that sounded. if it doesn't make much sense, let me know ill I'll try to explain better.

Aim to get in behind; stay on the shoulder of the last man. Also, always be on the opposite side that the ball is on. Say the left winger has it and is cutting in; you should be positioned between the left cb and left back of the other team, so that you can make a diagonal run and receive the ball via a straight pass.
The same goes for when the center mids have possession; make your run from the opposite side they are on. If you are looking to link up play, it's the same principle, but obviously you're playing with your back to goal and not running in behind

I play high school soccer and am left forward/striker, so i know the struggle,
i have my first game today actually, if im not sure where im supposed to be i just try to stay open for the cf to pass to me. we play a 3,3,4 setup due to lack of players but i hope this helps somewhat.

Just be vary when and where your teammates will pass the ball to you have a sense of communication with them

Thank you all for the advice, I've been doing better. Scored the most goals on my team so far, but I won't be able to do much because I'm on break and don't have another game until the 22 :(
