>>1 Erm OP if you are a Boy you will not get much taller then you're Dad, and if you are a Girl you will not get much taller then you're Mother, witch is usually the case, it's down to you're genes/genetics on how tall you will be, but growth hormones might help make you get a little taller but also come with some risks, I don't know how far off we are with gene therapy to make you taller, but it's likely in the works somewhere.

This may have been better placed in the personal area :? . . .

Sports won't make you taller, but you will become fitter and live longer. :D

But like, look at most basketball layers and their parents. I see where OP is coming from.

>>3 I might have to disagree on that one, or maybe in my case lol.

hmmm sports to get you taller. People tell me that going on the monkey bars would help you get taller. So not necessarily sports, but aerobics might help you. Basketball? hmm i dont think it makes you tall but rather tall people join the sport.

I hear swimming is also good, so its aerobics and swimming from my knowledge.

>>8 don't be silly the people who play Basket Ball who are tall where going to be that tall even if they didn't play Basket Ball, thinking other wise is just silly.

I heard consistent swimming can make a person grow in length.

Swimming should be good for all ages. Basketball helps too, but it's more effective if you're very young. The basketball players are so tall because they play it at a very young age.

i think stretching will help :D

Playing sports will not help you grow however constant impacts (including those from running) as well as constant stress from working out can very easily reduce growth if you aren't careful.

For experience, the best for you will be basketball, if not, try volleyball, and even swimming helps! Oh, and don't forget stretching, like Eni-kun said!))

Guys guys please stop posting bull shit about how "basketball, volleyball or swimming" can make you taller, it all comes down to you're genes/genetics it's biology guys not some miracle or wonder, as I said before in most cases and I do stress *MOST CASES* you will not get much taller then you Dad or Monther >>3, if you are lucky you will be, and if unlucky you will be shorter.

FYI sports do help in you're growth development, but will not make you taller.

>>18 I don't get why youve saged this. Kuroki is just asking for some help. And if you wish to contradict other's statements please provide a valid argument such as an article or info to help broaden up your topic. But I still do believe that sports can HELP people grow taller ( and I stress the word 'help' ) via hormones. It's like how doctors advise a good intake of calcium and dairy products in kids for the sake of their bone density in the future. This way, exercise at that right period of time can also help.

ah that reminds me, eating good can also help with your height.

>>19 They don't have to. I thought this was common sense.

Exercise can affect your height, as noted in the "Sports Medicine" research study, but only because in most cases it STUNTS it when you exercise too much.
The way it can help you grow taller is if you exercise healthily, and provide the stress that is necessary for shaping your musculoskeletal system. People also say that stretching helps.

Also, it's fucked logic to tell someone to supply evidence when you don't yourself- mentioning what you "believe in" isn't evidence either.

It's dangerous giving someone medical advice when you are a kid with no medical experience yourself.

This is why we're not getting a health board, ever.

Masaomi could use that.. What he could

do some basketball, but my advice is just let your height as it be

26 Name: Kaminko : 2015-04-27 10:42 ID:prg2OE6n [Del]

There's little you can do aside from nutrition. It's mostly your genes that will determine your height. An active lifestyle could stimulate more hormones which should help you grow in general. :)
Cheers!

basketball and swimming would help in height problems but not much i play basketball and do swimming alot to enter races but keep in mind that it doesn't help 100% so you should play safely and eat proper food and drink lots of milk that should help a bit. Well it depends on your DNA too i guess but give it your best shot!
