When I was about 12-13 years old we went to abroad to learn how to ski, It was fun, and we were at Murau lst year, unfortunately I didn't try the carving skiing, but this year I'd like to learn, I watch videos everyday, like these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhyk2ZbrOEM plus motivation videos, trying to watch the techniques. Waht do you think, how long to learn carving will take?

Carving takes a bit of practice, but once you learn it it seems easy. If you're not a great skier yet, get better before attempting to carve. I started skiing when I was 3, but I was very timid and I couldn't carve until I was 12 (keep in mind though that I was a child so it was harder for me to learn because my brain wasn't developed much).

I started to try to carve when I was 11, and (completely) succeeded when I was 12.

>>3, actually, that's false. You learn better when you're young, since your brain is like a sponge before it's fully developed.

>>5 I couldn't comprehend carving since I was so immature. It is hard to teach a young child to do something complicated like carving (just learning to ski is simpler), especially if they are too scared, like I was.
