Baton Twirling (3)

Baton twirling is a difficult sport and art in which the performer, often known as a twirler, maneuvers a baton in various directions and patterns. When put to music, it is informally referred to as a baton routine. What do you need to be a twirler? Balance, eye-hand coordination, fluid movement, good reflexes, and the ability to stretch are all required for baton twirling, similar to that of gymanstics. Gymnastics and baton twirling go hand-in-hand in professional performances.

I have been twirling since I was very young. I started out with a group known as the Beachwood Dazzlers, which dissolved due to mismanagement shortly after I quit. For the past six years, I have been self-teaching myself to twirl. I have successfully learned to twirl with two batons, and I am working on several more advanced moves. Admittedly, due to being self-taught, I no longer know the official names of most the moves. I still cannot catch two-spins. This is mainly because I have nobody to spot me and am therefore very paranoid. (Trust me, getting hit in the head with a good baton is goddamn PAINFUL.)

Does anyone else here do baton twirling? If so, for how long, and how good are you at it? Have you ever performed in a show? Maybe you have a video to share?

I Use to twirl when i was in grade school, i never took the time to join a class or get trained, i just did it to kill time (because i first saw it in anime that i really loved) So i self taught myself a couple of tricks, but I'm not all that great.
I've never competed in a contest of any sort, but i really do find it fun, I haven't done it in a while though.
