what kind of boards do the dollars ride, I started with a walmart board and moved on to element after a few years I started riding zero. tell me what you ride and tricks you can do.

thinking of starting skating again so hopefully this thread becomes more active :)
anyway - about decks:
previously skated on an element deck, but it chipped.. Now it's lying there split and broken.. :(
Next I'm thinking of buying either a Girl or a Chocolate deck. I had a go at trying them both out at a store and found they had the best pop. They're great quality and seem to be fairly light, but durable. The only problem is the price... If you need to buy a whole new set-up then spending way over £50 just on the deck seems crazy... and unaffordable :'|
So temporarily I'm thinking of getting an Enuff deck (which aren't pricey at around £20 - completes at £50)..
Birdhouse sell nice boards. I rode one before Element, when everyone was suffering the "Tony Hawks hype". In the end it was way too chunky to casually skate on - and hard to control.
Never been into mastering tricks or anything like that.. I don't really skate freestyle... I skate street, and vert occasionally; so cruising, ollies, kickflips, manuals etc...
been skating for about 3-4 years on and off...
ahh sorry, turned into a long post... anyway, who else here skates street? and... has anyone been told to move from a public area? that's something I remember a lot :')

Ironically, my mom just bought me a new skateboard. I had to sell my nice one a year or two ago because we were really low on cash. This one was really damn cheap, and I'm about 10 lbs over its weight category, but so far it's holding out pretty well ;O
I'm generally a casual skater, but I can do a few tricks. I just like playing around with it. The streets around here would kill a skateboard, and there aren't any sidewalks in my town. I have to go to the larger town nearby to actually skate off my own property; the cops there are hard-asses. You can't even flip your board without them trying to escort you off whatever property you're passing by =o=

I skate! But my board is like 5 years old, chipped, and sorry. Rusty, stripped, screws I can't even tighten so the board is crooked and wobbly. If I had a better board I definetly would get back into it.

I love skating. For a while, I had a used Farce board that I got for free from our local skateshop. Then recently I just picked up a SICK Zero deck from Zumies. Pretty fun sport, still pretty damn hard though.
