Didn't notice a thread on this. Any Dollars that surf? I'm just getting into the sport and I'm hooked. I'm exposing myself to the scene as much as possible. Feel free to post any tips for newbies like me, stories, maybe favorite surf spots in Cali? Or everywhere, and anything surf.

I skate and snowboard, But I would love to give surfing a try!

That's the greatest thing about living in California, we get a chance to do it all! Lol! I skate more than I surf, but I think I'm gonna get a nice carver skateboard so I can get a feel of surfing out of the water, and more practice.

No surfers huh? Dang. I'm gonna end up starting a mini group of Dollars surfers. Gotta get better though.

I really want to try it, but snowboarding is the closest thing we have, but I like snowboarding. we don't have any beaches here lol.

I'm thinking I should expand the topic of this thread to skate, surf, and snowboarding. I would like to get into snowboarding someday, maybe when I move up north where there's snow. Right now I'm in SoCal so surf and skate is what I got. Anyway, got any stories on the slopes?

Ummm...I visited Diamond Peak in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I had just finished my runs on the bunny slope when I took the lift to the intermediate slope.

I had not yet developled the skill "turning" so I had some trouble.

My only skill was fly down the mountain as fast I could and throw my self into the ground to stop.

I was going down the slope when one of the many annoying skiers got into my way. Me, being the kind and polite person I am today, violently threw myself into the ground so as not to hit him.

It hurt.
