The Dollars tagline meant something in it's own right, and Mikado going crazy was just a manifestation of the group getting out of hand. He wanted the Dollars to end up being a group that helped people, but everything spiraled out of control and he lost his cool. Like I said before, I wouldn't even expect something that happened in an anime to happen the way it would in reality, which was why I added an alternative to spreading our word they way it was in DRRR.
