The Right to Vote? (14)

1 Name: Kitsune : 2017-03-02 21:32 ID:ORjvVN2p [Del]

Now then,I have a big question for everyone to answer honestly.

Should violent Americans retain their right to vote? These people who have, since the election, rioted at peaceful protests and done the following...

Vandalized Homes,Businesses,Schools,and property
Looted Homes,Businesses,and Schools
Assaulted anyone that doesn't share their opinion and those simply doing their jobs
Ect...

If your wondering what kinds of people I mean, look at the day Trump was sworn into office. On the same day, someone's business Limo was vandalized ,Windows broken and car dented...and then later lit on FIRE...this person was just doing their job for extra money that day. They might not even have voted for Trump, but rioters destroyed this person's vehicle anyway likely crippling the person's livelihood for the next few weeks to a year depending how much they make.

Another good example around the same time was various factorys that people burnt to the ground.

Or simply that mess in New Orleans.(I'm sure other places got it bad too)

These people can't seem to Protest peacefully and in fact ,not just financially ,but PHYSICALLY cripple The United States through their actions destroying livelihoods ,Businesses, and Lives of the people living in our country.

So then...Should these ANIMALS that can't control themselves be allowed to vote or do you think Trump should pass a law that forfeits that right in only the next election if they harm our country in such a way?(The following election they would regain the right...unless they once again violently assaulted our country in such a way once more.)

Keep in mind...These people broke the law the moment they committed any of these actions to begin with.

I'd like honest answers and opinions. Thank You :) PHEW...

You're mocking animals. Animals are sensible enough not to cause needless destruction based on whims.

It's the main problem of democracy, actually. You give the power to the people, so the country acts according to the people's will, yadayadayada. So far, so good. Except, the people in general, in this case dog-loving Americans, are idiots.

They campaign endlessly just telling people (president, government, etc.) to do their jobs for them, and go berserk when those demands aren't met. Doesn't matter if the demands are impossible, or if it's not in the president's authority to do so. Rejection = Protest. That's it.

USA is too far gone to be fixed by laws. The only thing (imo, ofc) that can "potentially" save the country is to tell the people to read the books (preferably not written by celebrities) and get smarter before they spout random nonsense.

It's fun to see America collapsing, but hey, that would endanger my games and movies so good luck.

Extra rant: There is a problem when every statement you make goes back to human rights. You see anywhere else in the world as obsessed with rights?

Every American citizen deserves the right to vote, even felon as far as I'm concerned. If they can't make decisions then the people no longer control the government, the government starts controlling the people.

#2 You just became my best buddy. that first sentence...Burn lolz
Also I think we all knew when they started making government buildings based off the Roman empires...

#4 Fellons broke regular laws.Thats their right. The people I'm talking about are wrecking America while saying THEIR way is the better way to run America.

it's like having a guy say he should be Team leader yet doesn't hesitate to gun down an ally who doesn't share opinion with him.

As it turns out, there are actually a few states in which felons are stripped of their right to vote. And if any of these rioters attempt to register to vote in these states after being formally convicted, they will not be able to do so.

Found the word I wanted...Anarchists.

Should those who commit anarchy be allowed to vote? Much simpler.

>>7 I don't think anarchist do vote just as principle.

I know a lot of people relate anarchy with chaos but that's really just a stigma, anarchy at it's roots just means lack of formal government. A lack of formal government isn't always a bad thing and I'm pretty sure there are examples of it in history working just fine.

Ah, I feel that the need to point out that one can't 'commit' anarchy. Those of you who are seeing the problems of a democracy, congrats! Plato wrote about the problems with democracy about 2300 years ago in his seminal work Republic.

"Iam pridem, ex quo suffragia nulli uendimus, effudit curas; nam qui dabat olim imperium, fasces, legiones, omnia, nunc se continet atque duas tantum res anxius optat, panem et circenses..."

That was back when you have to spend several weeks crossing the ocean to invade other countries.
Now, it's gonna take a few hours with a nuke.

>>1 I think everyone should be able to vote if they are an American citizen, though I can see the argument for not allowing convicted felons to vote.

Even if a law were to be passed, removing their right to vote, how do you identify all of them? If you're talking about people that haven't been arrested then there is no good way of taking away their ability to vote without inevitably missing many of them or falsely convicting people.

I think they should be punished though fines, prison, and all the usual punishments of the state they are in. It would be unfair (and almost certainly politically motivated) to specify them as people who aren't allowed to vote. Though if felons in the state already lose that right, then you already have your wish.

Humanity should get rid of the voting system. Most of us are rotten, egotistical and don't care about the advancement of the human race. We will go down with our planet, as we are restraining ourselves under the illusion of 'morals'.

>>12 >>5 >>1 WHAT THE FUCK!? WHAT KIND OF AUTHORITARIANS ARE IN THE DOLLARS?! Being a group with no leader I'd expect more people that don't want to control others so much.
