Basically this is a gossip thread or a unconfimed/confirmed rumor thread regarding dollars members, visitors to the site, or anyone/anything you want to make this about. It could even include things like: "Did you know so and so is leaving the dollars?" or "This person is also this person because same IDs, so go ahead and ignore them or whatever when they reply to themselves with different usernames."
Again, this is a rumor thread, not the random thought thread. This has the purpose so that all rumors/gossip/ news regarding Dollars related activity goes here instead of people creating multiple threads regarding these kinds of things.

This is exactly why we need a Rumors board. Some people are gonna post a specific type of rumor while others won't like that the rumors are't "factual" enough - which, if you ask me, is retarded, but hey, opinions are opinions. I did start a thread for Rumors under News as well but it kept getting bumped down so I gave up on the board idea all together. That is until I came back to find all these posts popping up in the thread under 'Personal' board so don't start hating on me for posting the thread in the wrong board. I posted it in 3 different locations. That's the only place it survived.

But i gotta say, you cannot cherry pick the exact kind of posts you have in a specific thread in a specific board like that. Whatever little order we have is the best we're ever going to have. Idk if you guys have OCD or whatever but not everything needs to be organised in individual little boxes. Some rp might spill into the rumor threads. Some of it is going to be 100% bullshit while some of it isnt. But that's how a rumor works right? You can never really know if it's 100% true or 100% false. Further more, why are we making fact checking such an important thing? Even Donald trump doesn't do that and he's the president of the united states. (Social commentary haha) Jokes aside, rumors aren't meant to be factual. I mean sure, we can categorize rumors from news but trying to categorize different TYPES of rumors is just stupid and pointless.

That being said, I do agree that it should be under the News board - if not a separate board altogether. But criticising the fact that people are "rping" and giving them shit for that is pointless. It's not making the site "cleaner" its not getting more users interested in this website. Its just making this more difficult.

How do you plan on accomplishing this? Saying "no rp here pls" in a thread and expecting people to just follow that? People would just make bullshit up and claim its not rp. If they wanna rp they're gonna rp no matter what you tell them. Maybe if you mention to post only current event related rumors and in the other only dollars related rumors then maybe the results would be slightly different but that really wont accomplish all that much as compared to how it would work if a proper board were to be established. We cant delete unrelated posts in a thread nor can we bump them down. That stuff is possible only in a BOARD. Trying to establish some complex system only for it to be overthrown by spammers is ultimately gonna reap no benefit. Thats why I brought up my idea for a board yet again. Let there be one thread. Moar Rumors:

The rumor board secretly already exists. You have to put a special password in to access the site's experimental version, which has beta versions of all suggestions, including all publicly (and privately) submitted board ideas. Only select users are permitted to enter and participate.

There's actually two experimental passwords -- one for the "observer" version and one for the "participant" versions. The observer version is read-only; you can see what the updates are and lurk through recent changes but not post anything. The participant version is just like this but a lot less stable; posts often don't go through or end up scrambled and derpy.

The experimental version used to be handled on the same server, but the participant side was too easy to exploit and ended up causing server issues across everything. That's why threads and pictures would randomly get deleted or corrupted in chunks in the past or the site would just be inaccessible for a while.

But now they're handled on different servers, so it's not as big of an issue.

But at the time, all I saw was users repeatedly posting 'bump'. This thread had no identity. This thread had no relevance. That is why I figured instead of necroposting I'd make a new thread. Later, I was told that necroposting is accepted here, so I went ahead and deleted my thread cuz frankly, I really do not give a shit whether or not it is MY thread that gets the attention.

So yes, I did see both my thread and this one as the identical peas in a pod. Nothing special. Nothing unique. And especially, nothing regarding 'noob rpers'. That is of course until you went ahead and said you don't like them cuz ur so l33t. (oh boi i better watch out for dat gaming lingo I wouldnt wanna ROAST anyone)

Sure do people are constantly changing and one doesn't know what he will become of himself in his future but see it from a 3rd person perspective.
