So, pretty soon I realize I need to get a job because I am going to get a car and have to start paying for thing on my own and I am kind of scared. I feel like I am going in blindly though, and I am worried that everything will get harder for me and I don't even have a solid grasp on high school yet! ive tried looking into things that adults have to do and what it is like to be one and everything has been negative. Honestly from what I've heard, if my life is going to be like that then I WANT TO DIE EARLY! So for those of you who know, is there any upside to being an adult? Is there anything to look forewords to? Is there free time? Can I have an interesting life?

Uh, you don't seem to be that hated in the personal thread. What the hell are you talking about?

It all really depends what you want to do. Being 24 most of the people I work with, who are older, tend to act even more immature than me. Most of them do drugs and are alcoholics. I work in a pizza place and due to me putting off a few years I am back in school and now I am quite busy due to that. It will pay off in the long run since I want to design computer chips, but I also want to start doing that as soon as I can.

The best advice I can give to you for starting to become an adult is to build your credit early. I am just starting to build it and it is the main complaint among my age group. However live life how you want to.

You don't have to go to school, but it will help if you get into a good career. Also if you plan to go to school go for a degree with a lot of jobs, so probably not art. I'm going for electrical engineering and the job market is almost limitless for that.

Also what do you mean things adults have to do? I don't see anything really different than being younger other than more privileges, the law, and maybe paying for rent. Having roommates helps lower the rent as well. Nothing really changes except you have more experience with life. What you do with that is up to you.

Your situation's pretty similar to mine. I'm about to graduate after 2 months and then start finding a job. Don't think so negative like that, find yourself a motivation, such as mine, I'll work hard, save money, then travel to some countries, it'd be fun.

Yeah, just look at the things done in Durarara.
Meet Interesting People, Fight Decent Fights, Go to Pretty Places, Work the Work you Enjoy doing, and get a hobby or two.
Don't forget to go to the Gym and Eat Well.
Perhaps you should take up Biking, Jogging, or Weight Lifting as a Hobby, if not a Martial Art. If you are doing the Martial Art for the Fitness, then I would recommend a Boxing Gym.

Life is just a series of Obsessions and Boredom. Just try and get obsessed to enough of the right things to not notice the boredom and not cause any harm to yourself or others.
Take up Cooking and Learn to Enjoy it, this gives you just another obsession and helps you eat well.(This website is a decent start)

In all honestly, don't wait and sit around for your life to become interesting. Go out there and socialize even if you don't, try to find others that have a same interest as you. Go venture out, if you feel like you want to die I consider talking to a friend or anyone in general.

Sorry if this may seem rude to you but it's the truth.

Don't waste time sitting around and complaining to have a interesting life, go out and look for something to keep you occupied. Also don't worry so much, you're in that stage that you believe that everything isn't going to be okay. Or think that you'll have a miserable life, trust me itll get easier you just need to have your own schedule or a way to work past things. Things will get better
