You wouldn't believe how happy those two words made me. Totally stoked. My work is going to be evaluated today, so I can fix any errors I make before turning in my next assignment.

pancake soup isn't terrible especially since what they mean by "pancake" is actually a crepe, so it's lighter than you'd think and it kinda tastes like weird noodles when mixed with the soup.

One of the deaths would add to the story, creating conflict between a group of characters and the other death would just be the death of the villain character, which is the goal of that group. Two doesn't seem like much, but with such a small cast of characters, I'm not sure.

Also, making a webcomic is tons of work. But it will be worth it. I'll have fun with it.

Why do I love it so much?

When I was seven I watched this amazing movie with my mom. "Across the Universe." It was so surreal and at the time I understood nothing, but to this day I just remember it took me to a totally different world.

My mom and I were listening to the soundtrack the other day and I know now that I must see this movie again. Now that I can grasp it better. It will take me to that other world once again. It will be wonderful.

So I've been dieting, right? Bought wine today. First time in a while. One glass and I realize how gone my past tolerance is. I'm pretty pissed. I would've had half a glass or at least some water if I had known.

Anyway, earlier today I had an interview at a Chinese restaurant (for the idiots, I bought the wine about an hour ago, long after the interview).

I say it went 50/50; mainly because they asked to memorize the menu and how the cash register worked; which I had.
However, they started questioning me on something that they didn't ask me to memorize. WTF.

75 degrees out and it's raining. That's nice.

Ugh, I feel like a mess. During the school year, I had to do intense workouts during p.e. every other day. Now, my body just feels so ugh. I need to go running, but no one wants to take me.

I went to Target today and there were so many T-shirts I wanted. I wanted one with Kelly Kapowski so badly, but it was only in men's large so it wouldn't have fit *cries* Next time for sure I'm buying it if it's in a small!!!

Just checked my school e-mail. I'm so happy. I got an 89% on my first assignment for AP World History. I thought I was going to do really shitty (you have to get 80% or above to stay in the class on at least 5 of the 6 assignments), but I didn't. All the teacher wants me to do is interpret the text better and give more analysis. I'll admit I thought I could do better at first yet I turned it in, but I can tell with the second assignment I did a lot of analysis and am confident in my ability to get a good (possibly better) grade.

I was considering making a thread about this, but was uncomfortable doing so, so I'll just post my thoughts about it. The topic is rape. More specifically, why people rape. I was going to ask others' opinions about it, but I'm not so sure I should. For now, I'm unsure. How do we prevent rape? I don't think we should focus on teaching men not to rape, or encouraging women to cover up. I do not think either tactic will work. I feel uncomfortable bringing up this subject, but I feel really curious. Why do people rape and what is the best method to prevent it? Why do people seem to treat rape differently from other crimes?

i would go into detail about my specific rape too but i feel like that would make people more uncomfortable than they probably already get from reading this. this is all just my opinion from personal experiences of me and friends having to deal with different levels of sexual harassment and also what I learned in my psychology class.

We're surrounded by all kinds of threats every day, society doesn't offer us perfect protection like that, so learning to be cautious and taking care of yourself isn't a bad thing. Like how could it be a bad thing.

^ To add to this, it's unfortunate, but it seems many people just can't grasp how horrible rape is. They know it's bad. They know people don't like it, and that some people are affected permanently by it. But they can't imagine what's going through a victim's mind when something like this happens.

I think there is also a mindset that is pushed on men and some women in many countries that, "No sex is bad sex," which in turn makes them question, "How could you ever turn down sex to the point where you fought against your partner, called it a crime, and want to put them in prison for it? How can SEX be that bad?" Being picky and protective didn't come up in their childhood for whatever reason, so it's difficult for them to really take it seriously.

It's 5 am and I just wasted my whole fucking night.

Downloaded a pokemon game. Played it for a good 4 hours, and I'm doing pretty well. Train the three pokemon I'm keeping for my party to about lvl 15, way higher thaan any other at this point in the game. I am saving constantly in the in-game save function rather than the emulator save function. Accidentally toucj the load function at the top the screen, and then the first save point, and now I'm back in Viridian city with alvl 6 Charmander and fucking Rattata.

So apparently Funimation's never seen fit to release a good set of recent Dragon Ball Z DVF's without this annoying crop they did during the remaster to make the resolution widescreen. It cuts out about 25% of the original image, and fans have been complaining about it since the last DVD release. They heard us and corrected it for the "level" blurays, but only released two before cancelling it and releasing season sets with the crop back in place.

I know that for most people it doesn't sound too bad, but it really irritates the hell outta me.

It does give me an excuse to finally watch Kai though.

So my lecturer for my literature subject is one of those people who judges others based on their ability to pull apart and evaluate their media choices based on its political or social agenda. Because you totally can't appreciate something purely for its entertainment value or artistic merit, no, it has to reinforce your worldly views.

During the lecture she was speaking proudly of how she wouldn't let someone into her house because she found out that they liked 50 Shades of Grey and she thought it was demeaning or some shit, and openly mocking the people at the lecture who said that they liked westerns because she sees them as racist.

I'm not sure it's at the same level of having a child you know is at a significantly higher risk for so many complications. Not to mention that genetic pattern they found only in incest children a few years back whose effects we're still not sure of.

We get summer homework every year. I'm getting this summer homework, because I want to be in honors class, but I still have to do the homework for normal english (just in case I don't get in, sucky right?). The kids in normal english get there homework graded as their first assignment of the year and the kids in honors have a second assignment which gets graded as the first assignment of the year.

The main reason we have to do it though is because we're showing the teacher that we are capable of doing stuff like this with precision and intellect. Also, about 70 kids tried out for the class and the teacher's classroom can hold maybe 30 or so kids. Whoever shows they're dedicated to the assignment and does a good job on it gets a spot in the class. Anyone who doesn't turn it in on time has no chance of getting in, anyone who doesn't cite correctly doesn't have much of a chance getting in (though, like I said we really didn't learn how to do citation for websites and 90% of the freshmen class had the same teacher last year), and anyone who does a bad job on their essay (intro, paragraphs, conclusion) won't have a chance getting in. It's a lot of stress, because that one mistake could be your ticket out of the class.

I'm guessing about 35 people are getting in, so half of us are getting kicked out so I only have a 50% chance of getting in, which doesn't look to good. So yeah, although not graded, it's very important (especially if you're as into school as me).

Started my junior year of high school today and I'm already stressed out. My history teacher is gonna make part of our grade based on participation, which he means ~taking part in class discussions~. Like, literally becoming filled with rage whenever people invaded my bubble. Like, I'm jogging, right? In the back of the gym there are 10-15 machines and I was at the very end and someone else was at the other end.
Then this fucker decides on using the machine next to me.

But you know, it was the machine beside the one beside me, but I still felt like he was in my personal space. When I'm using the treadmill, I always feel like the movements of someone running in my peripheral vision throws off my jogging rhythm.

I also hate the stretching area and how close someone gets for stretching when there's a spot on the opposite side of the mat.

And this is how everyone bails out on me. Tbh, I looked it up. There's a bunch of stuff to do there and you're considered a child there until you're like 19 or 20 or 21(i forget which age). That means I could go to a lot of places for free. I don't know how you wouldn't want to go there. There's so many things to do there. =/ She just doesn't appreciate the world like I do (and by that I mean she only wants to go to tourist places). I think everywhere is beautiful, but I have this fascination with my first time being out of California being in Austria, because of my love for Mozart. Also, when I started listening to Falco, it seemed even cooler to go to Austria. I looked up so many places there. It's really amazing. Idk how she wouldn't want to go there. I mean idk how you wouldn't want to go anywhere out of where you live (traveling seems so fun). Anyways, it's not like she'd get bored. I mean once you're there you have to look at the beauty around you, right? RIGHT?!

A goal of mine this week at Uni is to try to get into a conversation with someone outside a lecture or seminar. It all feels so easy when I'm trying to get myself psyched for it, but when someone actually rocks up, the words just don't come out.

At best I cave before doing anything and keep some quiet dignity, and at worst I've made eye contact and look like a complete weirdo.

also the plane ride for me took at least 11 hours? plus the bus ride was another 2?? personally, especially for your first trip and if you're tight on money, I'd go somewhere closer like a different state or Canada. Austria may seem great to you but you also need to be a realist sometimes on what's possible at this moment (not saying you shouldnt go there, maybe now just isnt the best time especially with your mom being a barrier).

I'm working on a kinetic novel converter right now / between jobs, which will let us quickly convert any novel versions written to a playable Ren'Py game. Then we can add routes in and cut out narration for the visual novel version. switching between playing destiny on ps4 with like 2 friends and then going back to my ps3 and playing it with the majority of my other friends is making me adamantly dislike the ps3.
