On to a thought of mine, are younger kids starting to get more spoiled? I was talking to my girlfriend today, and she's babysitting. See when I was a kid I had to make my own breakfest or go to school without any. Sometimes I'd get dinner sometimes not. What's the point of wanting to be the other gender? Just... why does it matter? Is it for the clothes, the look, the rights? To switch bed position? Or is it just for the sake of calling yourself the other gender?

I don't look in the mirror and go, "Wow I'm so happy to be a woman." It's just there. You are what you're born as. If you want to wear the other gender's clothes or date the same sex, then you can do that just fine as you are. You can talk like the other gender and walk like it all you want. But what's the point of obsessing over the gender itself and declaring yourself to have some different identity?

Imho, it's no different than a black man declaring his "racial identity" to be white, or vice-versa, and then making a social movement about it. Maybe he just feels like he's white and that he's been in the wrong body the whole time and has been struggling with his black friends calling him "ma nigga boi" fo' years.

Yet even though he's clearly black (until he spends his money getting his skin and hair bleached and his nose/lip job, etc), he gets angry when people refer to him as black as if they should have known better.

Or like a brunette declaring herself a blonde without dying her hair, then complaining about people calling her a brunette because it's an offense against her hair identity, then suing when she's put into the brunette group instead of the blonde one during a team game. "Oh, but what if she dyed her hair!" Sure, but what if those brunette roots are still visible or she's using cheap dye, or she's talking to people who knew her before it was dyed? Then she's still a brunette.

I feel like the logic and concept is really flawed, and it's most visible when you take it away from the concept of gender. That said, I'm not against trans or anything. I just can't understand why it's necessary or taken so seriously.

Also, a lot of treatments in psychology are "cruel" when you're looking at it from the perspective of people who are being treated. A person who hallucinates and has done so since they were a child may prefer those hallucinations. Making them take medication against their will would be "stressful and confusing" and is often ineffective. Yet, I doubt most people would bat an eyelash at putting someone with such a disorder on medication whether they wanted it or not.

If all those people who hallucinate come together and declare that they shouldn't be treated and start a movement for awareness, does that mean they shouldn't be treated? If they start to fall into depression over their hallucinations and then insist the only thing that can make them feel better is to make it real instead of making them go away, should we have people follow them around in costumes that match their hallucinations and make it publicly acceptable for them to have such a disorder?

I'm not saying there's effective treatment or that it should be done or forced - just questioning why it /isn't/ done when such methods are applied on others with similar conditions.

By the way, I should probably point out that I think psychology is 99% bullshit and don't agree with most treatments in the first place. The majority of the above posts aren't speaking from my own perspective at all but rather from a third party pov (with the intention of getting a better grasp of why trans is necessary and acceptable in comparison to the other countless identity problems that're shunned).

Fair warning, Angel's Egg is really an acquired taste that I totally don't blame people for hating. It's really slow paced and has some racist overtones. It relies a lot on its heavy symbolism. There's very little dialogue and only two characters we meet personally, who are living in a post-apocalyptic world.

That said, if you don't mind donating a little time to it, it's worth the watch. It's decades old (coming up on its thirtieth birthday) but still has really natural animation and a unique art style. I adored it despite skipping around through some slower parts (which I shouldn't have done because the still shots are supposed to be interpreted for the continued story).

Like, I had to recite a poem today in front of the class and I almost messed up, and when I went to sit down, I was totally panicked, and so I drew a little undefined guy who was crying and stuff and then I drew myself giving him a smooch on the forehead and telling him that I was proud of him for being brave and for doing well and for volunteering to read all on his own, and by the time I was done, I felt 3000% better!

I should be doing my homework...

We had a code yellow threat at school (it didn't escalate since they caught the guy a few blocks down). But I swear, if it had, my English class would have been the first to die because a few of the girls in my class started /wailing/ and crying and they would not quiet down oh my GOD.

I can understand that they were afraid, I was too, but that is not the appropriate time for panic or being loud AT ALL.

Our high school is right next to a prison, so probably once a year or so, sometimes twice, we'd have a lockdown because of prison uproars and escapes. It's pretty awkward. (I thought it was less since I was normally at vocs during it lol)

But yeah, I hate people like that. It's understandable, but not excusable.

I'm really weird because when I'm in a serious situation or really angry or anything along those lines I become really cool and collected and am able to think more clearly/logical than normal. It's actually pretty scary because it's different from how I normally am O_o (an over emotional, spazzy idiot)

We only ever had "lock down" drills at our school.
I am glad I've never had to be placed in a real situation..
The drills did make me feel more confident in my safety and the schools ability.

Although most members of my old classes would just whisper and snicker despite the stories and warnings; it was only a drill after all...

My schedule on Mondays.
Wakeup - 5:30am
School: 6:30am - 2:05pm
HW: 3:00pm-6:20pm
SAT prep classes: 6:30pm-9:30pm
Rest of HW: 10:00pm-12:30am

Where is the free time?
Mondays fucking blow.

Sometimes I procrastinate in ways that are productive like by working on something else or learning something new, but a lot of the time I just listen to music and daydream for an obscene length of time q-q

I want to do more of my homework, but I'm on here and I'm writing a story and I'm listening to music and I'm writing songs and I'm drawing pictures and I'm reading books (which by the way I can't read comics because my dumbass school says comics aren't mentally stimulating!), so it's like, I don't want to give up all the thing's I like, but school is making me. SUCKS!!!!
