It strikes me as a curious thing that recently, advert banner and images online are becoming increasingly more targeted towards individuals.
The most terrifying aspect of this is how advertising will offer up personalised adverts based on the sites that you visit, so if I had been browsing a clothing site previously, some of the adverts will start displaying items from that clothing website.
What I am particularly interested in however, is what you guys see advertised from the bbs website itself. So, screenshots away!

Looked at my Google ad profile, and some were eerily accurate. Like, it creeped me out. Some of it just made me say, "Wha?"
These are based off of websites I visit. Some of the ones that are accurate, computers and electronics, roleplaying games, rock music. Yes, I'm a nerd. I can see ho they can assume some of them, like roleplaying games, but some, like rock music, just doesn't make sense. How? How do you know that I like rock music?
Then some that don't make sense, Autos and Vehicles, Finance, Music streams and downloads. I suppose that the research that I do for RP throws Google off. Because, lol. I look up cars for a couple of characters. I looked up the price of certain metals once for a character. I don't know why it got music streams and downloads, though. I don't buy music. I don't have an ipod or anything, so I dunno.
At least I know that research for RP characters throws anyone trying to figure things out about me off. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't had my gender in my google profile, Google would have thought I was a dude.
