Is there a doctor in the house? (11)

1 Name: Riku : 2013-03-01 12:45 ID:/10S2wkv [Del]

Ok, so I'm doing a research paper and I think I can do my paper on nightmares and their effects.
So is there a sleep therapist or anyone I can talk to?
Please respond quickly.

when do you need this done exactly and why wont online research be good enough? I got a friend who talks to a sleep doctor about this sort of stuff twice a month, but we arent getting together anytime soon. Also, post this in personal, cuz this sounds like a... personal problem.

Personal problem? 'Tis nothing of the sort. This needs to be done within 3 weeks and I need 30 or so resources. An expert is mandatory, which is why I'm asking for a therapist or someone whose an expert.

(shrugs) Whatev. But I guarantee people with doctorates in Sleep Therapy don't come on here...

how bout you dont be a lazy fuck op and actually look up some fancy dream readers that you can actually talk to, instead of asking on the internet where everyone is 12 yo boys in disguise.

>>5 >>7 Well that wasn't necessary. It was a fair question even if unlikely, and finding an expert's stated opinion on some site is probably less satisfying than actually speaking with one. Could have just ended at >>4.

Honestly, what is it with bandwagon hate becoming the norm, here?

It's the internet. The primary place of douche baggery breeding.

Your guess is as good as mine.
It's been going on for some time, however, and I doubt it'll change much.

((Sageposting because this isn't related and I don't want to make another topic for it.))

>>9 You know, there is a big difference between baseless asshattery and the sort of rudeness you're referring to. I assume your basis comes from places like 4chan and the like?

Have you ever been on 4chan? They may speak rudely and it could come off as offensive, but everything they say is in irony, you know. If they call you a faggot, they don't actually hate your guts, they just think what you said was stupid. They are actually really fucking supportive over there, and they know their shit when they aren't joking around.

The sort of hate I see on here falls way out of line with the precedent that they're all trying to emulate - there is some serious, unironic, and thoughtless "hey I don't like this guy let's DRIVE HIM OUT OF THE SITE WITHOUT REASON" happening. Don't even pretend it's the same - it's slowly falling into this circlejerk of keeping out everyone who doesn't abide by this totalitarian mindset.

Don't take this the wrong way though, I know your sentiment is shared with most people here so I'm not just directing this at you. If I may just say it, since it's been nagging at me for the longest time:

Everyone here is doing it wrong.
