Hello there, I am in high school and basically I am graduating at the end of this school year. My friends and I are planning a trip to celebrate that we've graduated. We want to go to Florida but we need to make some money so we are able. It's about 5 months until school is over and we're leaving in July so that leaves us 6 months to gather enough money to last us a few weeks. Transportation is really not the issue because we plan to drive but we need money for food, place to stay, and just to go to fun places.

Any tips on how to make money? I was thinking about going door to door asking to do peoples house work but I don't know if people still do that. Please help!

You can always do odd jobs like mowing lawns, babysitting, walking dogs, or other various tasks. If you are able, however, I would suggest going to a temp agency. A temp agency will find a job for you (which you may or may not attend should you change your mind or find another job) that will hire you as a temp (temporary worker). There is of course no guarantee that you will get a job immediately.

Also, should you make it on your trip, conserve money like Mr. Scrooge. Ramen and other cheap-o meals from Wal-Mart or McDonalds can go a long way in helping you make your money last for the entire trip so that you don't run out.

Easy way to make money while still in high school is buy a vendor's licence and sell candy bar's tea bottles and other things that people want you'll make tons of cash

Sell drugs.

leave highschool and join the army.

Seriously, don't give out that kind of advice, Acid. People might listen to you. At least be less of a douche and suggest a service branch that isn't gonna throw someone into a neck-deep pit filled with assholes.

Food service.

Yeah you heard me. McDonalds. Taco Bell. Burger King. They're shit jobs but you'll feel rich pulling in some money every week. Some people are clever enough to figure out how to live single, in an apartment, off of food service minimum wage. 'Dunno how they pull it off, but props to them.

Oh right, wouldn't things like this go on the Personal board in the future? I'm pretty sure that's where these posts should be.
