Remember, Xero - this site is democratic. It is not run by a single person. The only single people who have power are the moderators. As long as they, Reltair, or someone with a lot of credit don't butt in, it's run by majorities. If the majority is against you, you should step down. Those kinds of acts are only going to disorganize the site and make you look like a simple-minded white knight.

People haven't been polite as a rule for a long time. Some people are polite because that's how they are and some aren't because that's their way of reacting. It's pretty much on a case by case basis and it goes in waves depending on how much they've had to put up with.
