Personality Types/ Typology Test (229)

1 Name: Black!BLACKFJv1Q : 2012-09-30 02:42 ID:gZMusQ4c [Del]

Based on Jungian psychology, every person can be defined into 16 different categories. There are:
Introvert vs. Extroverts
Intuition vs. Sensing
Thinking vs. Feeling
Judging vs. Perceiving

Go to http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp and fill the short quiz to determine your personality type.
After you've taken the quiz, feel free to go to https://www.personalitypage.com/____.html, where the "____" you fill in with your 4 letters in all caps. Either that, or simply google "[your 4 letter type] personality type".

To start, I'm INTJ.

2 Name: Handle : 2012-09-30 03:27 ID:Fm/LfU8D [Del]

I got ISTJ; Introvert(89%) Sensing(1%) Thinking(25%) Judging(33%)

Personality tests like this are quite fascinating, aren't they?

3 Name: Obsidian Tk37425b2 : 2012-09-30 03:57 ID:pvuLS9TS [Del]

I was also grouped with the INTJ category.
Introvert (100%) Intuition (75%) Thinking (75%) Judging (78%)
I've got to say, out of all the personality quizes I've taken, this one was the best. Not only does it give you your personality type, but it also suggests a few career options that would suit you.

4 Name: Haru. !4Wf3m.ar1o : 2012-09-30 04:02 ID:HVkqSXG4 [Del]

Mine was Introvert(78%) Intuitive(12%) Thinking(62%) Judging(22%)

5 Name: Handle : 2012-09-30 04:04 ID:Fm/LfU8D [Del]

._. Everyone's getting INTJ but me so far...

6 Name: Balthizar : 2012-09-30 04:31 ID:Rs3ZzoY3 [Del]

I'm an INTJ: the "Scientist" personality. I absolutely love this kind of stuff. Another similar test that I've found would be a D&D style alignment test. I'm catigorized as "True Neutral".

7 Name: Bunny : 2012-09-30 04:55 ID:9egnnj2P [Del]

I was bored so I did it and I got ISTP
Introvert(78%)  Sensing(1%)  Thinking(50%)  Perceiving(11)%

8 Name: Hatash!HATStoI1IE : 2012-09-30 05:41 ID:RKEc25/k [Del]

I got ISTJ
Introvert(33%) Sensing(12%) Thinking(25%) Judging(22%)
Self-Awaring pretty much is what I usually do.

I got ISTJ.
Introvert (44%), Sensing (38%), Thinking (12%), and Judging (33%).
Seems pretty accurate. I really enjoy tests like these.

INTJ

Introvert(78%) iNtuitive(50%) iNtuitive Thinking(12%) Judging(11%)
•You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
•You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
•You have slight preference of Thinking over Feeling (12%)
•You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)

"To outsiders, INTJs may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age. When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how. INTJs know what they know, and perhaps still more importantly, they know what they don't know."

Sounds right.

"Computer Programming
"Natural Science
"Teaching Natural Science
"Engineering
"Management
"Entrepreneurship
"Social Services
"Law
"Librarian"

Still sounds right.

This test is pretty good o-O'

12 Name: BarabiSama!!C8QPa1Mt : 2012-09-30 08:20 ID:UHs9nyt9 [Del]

"This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation (which most types consider half the fun of a relationship). To complicate matters, INTJs are usually extremely private people, and can often be naturally impassive as well, which makes them easy to misread and misunderstand. Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense. :-) This sometimes results in a peculiar naivete', paralleling that of many Fs -- only instead of expecting inexhaustible affection and empathy from a romantic relationship, the INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness."

Still makes sense.

13 Name: Elunore!HIwambGeWE : 2012-09-30 09:13 ID:szoEFsG7 [Del]

INTP

Introvert(39%) iNtuitive(50%) iNtuitive Thinking(50%) Perceiving(11)%

-You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (39%)

-You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)

-You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (50%)

-You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (11%)

"INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.

Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists.

INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.

A major concern for INTPs is the haunting sense of impending failure. They spend considerable time second-guessing themselves. The open-endedness (from Perceiving) conjoined with the need for competence (NT) is expressed in a sense that one's conclusion may well be met by an equally plausible alternative solution, and that, after all, one may very well have overlooked some critical bit of data. An INTP arguing a point may very well be trying to convince himself as much as his opposition. In this way INTPs are markedly different from INTJs, who are much more confident in their competence and willing to act on their convictions."

Sounds like me.

30 Name: Maru-Kai !FzZsxghPjA : 2012-09-30 16:08 ID:vFt4XBNr [Del]

"Generally, INTPs build successful careers in areas requiring quite intensive intellectual efforts and calling for creative approach. INTPs are often found in research, development and analytical departments. INTPs often make a very successful career in academia thanks to their strong and versatile way of thinking and originality."

Yep. Definitely sounds like me.

Looks like I'm the only one so far that has ISFJ.
Introvert(56%) Sensing(25%) Feeling(25%) Judging(33%)

-Warm, friendly and affirming by nature
-Service-oriented, wanting to please others
-Good listeners
-Will put forth lots of effort to fulfill their duties and obligations
-Excellent organizational capabilities
-Good at taking care of practical matters and daily needs
-Usually good (albeit conservative) at handling money
-Take their commitments seriously, and seek lifelong relationships

I've never seen such an accurate test like this before. Thanks for the post!

>>37 Sorry, I forgot to post this..
"While instinctively courting the personal and organizational demands continually made upon them by others, at intervals INFJs will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates. This apparent paradox is a necessary escape valve for them, providing both time to rebuild their depleted resources and a filter to prevent the emotional overload to which they are so susceptible as inherent "givers.""

39 Name: Pxi : 2012-10-02 08:58 ID:1y5MjBM3 [Del]

INTJ:
Introvert(67%) Intuitive(12%) Thinking(88%) Judging(1%)
"INTJs live in the world of ideas and strategic planning. They value intelligence, knowledge, and competence, and typically have high standards in these regards, which they continuously strive to fulfill. To a somewhat lesser extent, they have similar expectations of others."
Fairly accurate.
And then for the career choices -
Scientists
Engineers
Professors and Teachers
Medical Doctors / Dentists
Corporate Strategists and Organization Builders
Business Administrators / Managers
Military Leaders
Lawyers / Attorneys
Judges
Computer Programmers or Systems Analysts

Absolutely none of those fit me. I'm more into the arts - drawing & music. Sure, I like learning about science, but there is not way that I'd work in that field for my entire life. Too lazy.

Took this a while ago - result from that one was ISFP, and the results are here.

Retaking it with this test, I got INFP: 33% 38% 38% 11%

The results seemed inconsistent, so I took it again and got INTP.

The N/S and the F/T for me seem interchangeable depending on various circumstances, considering their close percentages. The low P worries me about the test linked here, but it's still a P.

50 Name: Misuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2012-11-27 01:43 ID:IHpOkxDq [Del]

Oh, and for anyone interested, I did some statistics :V

Over the last 50 posts, excluding me since my answer was nebulous (30 people minus me)...
27-3 Introverts to Extroverts
21-9 Intuitive to Sensing thinkers
18-12 Thinkers to Feelers
20-10 Judges to Perceivers

INTJ is by far the most common with 9, followed by INFJ with 5 and ISTJ with 4.

If you only count the ones with a certain percentage or higher, however, you get...

>25%
21-2 I to E
12-3 N to S
10-8 T to F
10-3 J to P

>33%
21-2 I to E
10-2 N to S
7-3 T to J
10-3 J to P

>50%
15-1 I to E
9-0 N to S
6-2 T to F
3-0 J to P

There aren't as many strongly Intuitive thinkers after only the low 25% are removed, and the number of Judging/Perceiving thinkers also drops a lot. By the 50% margin, there are only 3 Judges and no Perceivers.

Just something to think about, if you think about what each one means.

51 Name: Misuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2012-11-27 01:57 ID:IHpOkxDq [Del]

>>50 ...And then I did. Prepare for text, it's all relevant to the people here.

The heavy introversion on here makes sense. People that tend to use the internet more heavily are usually more private and keen on solitary activity, even preferring it over large amounts of social activity. It might also explain the sort of thing you see on the Personal board. Take that how you will.

Intuitive thinking over Sensing implies a more abstract, imaginative, idealistic mindset than a concrete, factual, realistic one. This also makes sense - most people here indulge in anime and video games, and it takes a sense of appreciating the imagination to do so. It also explains why a lot of people here seem to be irrational, or prone to mistakes. See: main board daily.

Thinking versus Feeling had only somewhat higher numbers, but it's interesting who you could identify as either of those. Thinking implies a grounding in logic, critical thinking, and objective reasoning, while Feeling implies a basis in empathy, passion, and emotion. I might argue that some people give themselves more credit than they should by saying they act on logic rather than feeling, but that would only maybe reduce the numbers to about 50/50. I would relate this to something you see on the boards daily - the constant schism of the community between telling people off for making mistakes, and advocating for a healthier empathetic atmosphere. One should note that there is no right answer, but by nature there will be conflict in that regard.

I'm actually surprised to see less Perceivers than Judges though. Perceiving implies adaptivity, relaxation, spontaneity and procrastination. It seems like something people would be more prone to over structure, organization, and responsibility - especially among this demographic. I may be misjudging people here, apparently.

>>56 Some of your answers may change simply based on your mood or your expectations. Sometimes it's hard to give a clear-cut answer about even your own thoughts, as the questions tend to be situational. It's good to make note of what is constant, and what changes and to what degree. For example, I keep a record of my past results for that reason. Over longer periods of time, the changes are more drastic if I've actually changed at all.

61 Name: Leigha Moscove !9tSeSkSEz2 : 2012-12-08 00:14 ID:71Xvcr/d [Del]

>>60 I find that there are too many "what if" situations in these.

As an example, "You are more interested in a general idea than in the details of its realization."

If it's something I'm doing by choice, then there is nothing I desire more than to do into depth and details. If I'm being forced to do it, I just do it to get it done.

Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas that in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.

I really hate how accurate the internet can be sometimes.

>>68 Introversion - more reserved, less outspoken in groups. Basically, the quiet one in a group.

Intuition - Paying the most attention to impressions or the meaning and patterns of the information. Would rather learn by thinking a problem through than by hands-on experience.

Thinking - Analyze stuff

Perceiving - Flexible lifestyle.

That help you Acid Scr3m? Or do you still no understand your results?

93 Name: Tiredsuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2013-03-17 23:55 ID:rkn4WmUn [Del]

>>92 You say condemn like it's a bad thing, and I think you're confusing introvert for shut-in.

It is not someone who hates people. It's not someone who refuses social interaction unanimously, or makes nothing of their life because they hate leaving their dark room. That's just the stereotype.

An introvert is one who prefers self reflection rather than external interaction. It's someone who places a higher value on their time than their rapport with others. Someone who enjoys the company of a specific few rather than being comfortable around everyone. Someone who is not necessarily selfish, but rather has a sense of values that welcomes solitude, in moderation.

There are ups and downs between extroversion and introversion, but to believe one is better than the other is fallacy.

There is a high chance I misinterpreted what you said and you weren't actually making any of the listed assumptions in any sense, but I figured I'd clarify that for anyone who wasn't aware.

There's a lot of INTJ and quite a few INTP on here, which is rather odd. It makes sense that there's a lot of introverts, though that's rather rare in itself. Because a lot of peopel online are introverts. However, INTP and INTJ are fairly rare. Which is weird.

I myself, am INTP, INTJ, or INFJ. It really depends what's needed in the moment, so I switch often. I've read them all, and it really all does fit, just depending on what's needed to be done.

soooooo i think this is a pretty interesting site to use for analyzing your personality traits!

basically ibm watson can build your personality profile based on a block of text you submit yourself ^^

anyways! here's the little summary blurb the thing said about me: You are social, generous and imperturbable.

You are respectful of authority: you prefer following with tradition in order to maintain a sense of stability. And you are outgoing: you make friends easily and feel comfortable around other people.

Your choices are driven by a desire for stability.

You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you. You are relatively unconcerned with achieving success: you make decisions with little regard for how they show off your talents.

>>192 Huh... So...

My assessment of myself: I don't think this will be an accurate assessment of me, but I'll give it a try. I honestly find myself to be a kind, compassionate, empathetic, sweet, generous, humble, loving person. That said, I'm also rash, greedy, lustful, gluttonous, and have one hell of an anger problem. I'd like to say I'm honest, but I'm really not. I consider others too much and put their needs before mine. This leads to me being less honest since I'm more concerned with hurting their feelings. I also put too much stock into what others think about me. I know I shouldn't care about how others see me, but I'm incredibly insecure and rely on validation through others, partly due to an inferiority complex. This also leads to bouts of depression when I inevitably fail at something. I know failure is my fault entirely, and mostly because I lack discipline. I say I'm going to do something, and get too lazy and unmotivated to ever do it.

Survey assessment of me: You are a bit compulsive, somewhat shortsighted and can be perceived as coarse.

You are prone to worry: you tend to worry about things that might happen. You are susceptible to stress: you are easily overwhelmed in stressful situations. And you are emotionally aware: you are aware of your feelings and how to express them.

Your choices are driven by a desire for modernity.

You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.

I have always been an FP. In my young teen years, I would get S, but now I get N. I/E varies cause it's usually a pretty close split (usually something like 51-49 or 48-52), but lately it's been E more than I. I wonder if that's because I've gained so much confidence from transitioning. Hm.

So basically just XNFP. But lately I've just been saying ENFP.
