They don't really help one another, but they also don't harm one another. I guess there's a certain harmony there. With mine being fire and air, there's a partnership, but it's lacking the harmony that your elements have.

Personality-wise, they generally fit. They're both boastful, self-reliant, brave, and often impatient. The difference is that the rooster has a "prettier" personality compared to Aries. They're both strong signs, but they have different goals. The Rooster aims to protect others while Aries aims to protect itself. That type of thing can be conflicting and make it difficult to make important decisions.
