What if you found out that you will never die?
Aging, dying, starvation, diseases, etc. All of that is meaningless once you obtain the power of Immortality.

This is actually the basis for a story I'm in the process of writing (although with me it'll probably never get done).
Anyway, personally, at the point I realized I would never die I would probably use it as an excuse to do stupid stuff. Basically, doing crap that would normally get me killed. I would also move somewhere the murder rate is high and go around screwing with people and helping out potential murder victims. I would spend my extra time learning random languages and other skills, both useful and useless, just because I have forever to master them.

If I found out I was going to die, I wouldnt change anything I did. I would continue living my life the same way, even after everyone I knew is gone. Guess that just adds to the case file of me being a heartless person.

It would get incredibly boring after a while, there's only so much you can do. Not to mention the emotional pain of seeing all your loved ones die before you. I'd likely end up learning as much as I can and eventually isolate myself from people due to the emotional stress of losing them. Imagine the nightmare's you'd get from the stuff you'll see and the pain. Also, on the topic of being reckless, you'd still feel pain, and I'm assuming what doesn't kill you would be excrutiatingly painful.

Actually, I'd end up running with everyone else. I don't think being torn apart by zombies would be particularly pleasant; especially if you can't die and therefore would never be released from the pain.

I want to be immortal. Screw dying and all that crap, and who ever said immortals can't have kids? That is vampires and they are not technically immortal.

Watch the first and second episodes of Angel Beats. That's pretty much what I'd do. (I mean what they do in the show, lol)

This might sound weird, but i'd cry. All my friends would die and i'd just watch them. I don't think I could live forever knowing that everyone will get older and die eventually.

I dunno...it's kind of a mixed thing here. Bad side is I'd live longer than my family and friends. Upside is, I'd be able to see history being made and read all the books I want. I'm a bit of a history and book lover... in the end I'd probably waste my immortality doing those two things. "Highlander" is also the first thought I had....

I would spend hundreds of years observing the earth, gaining wisdom, and on occasion, step in to help people.

I would love it but then be sad since everyone will simply die except me.

Actually, now that I really think about it....Immortals would be the best trolls ever.
You could be considered a God and be worshiped by an entire population; you could be considered a Vampire or other immortal creature and continuously scare the shit out of people; you can pull off magic tricks like staying underwater for 24 hours without dying, with no gimmmics; or get injured and heal quickly from a near death wound and end up famous; walk across the bottom of the Loch Ness and search for Nessie, or other mythological creatures.

Damn, that could actually be really fun, despite lonely. Unless there are other immortals. Then we can all flock together and be awesome together.

Maaaan, that would suck if I was immortal. I suppose that would defeat the purpose of trying to enlighten myself and make it to nirvana (ultimate state of peace after death, I think, Buddhism.) I would probably just stare at everyone and observe the human race through its generations. I would probably see if anyone will listen to me in the next gen or two. Not exactly the most popular person 'round here.

I'll will do something huge. Since I know everything, I'll do something so huge that the human mind will explode when trying to process it. It has to be that big because anything else would be too easy for someone who knows everything. If it's too easy I'll get bored. After that, since I know everything I'll make other immortal people. Once you know everything you'll know how to do that. There will be my love, a couple really awesome friends, and 2 other people whom I can tolerate and can tolerate me. Eventually, me and the last 2 people will get tied of each other. So, we'll do what any sensible immortal does. We'll start an immortal war. Since no one can win, it'll last forever. I'll have friends and be entertained forever.

Oh! I forgot one thing. During the immortal war, I'll find the end to the number pi. Then I'll sell that in books making millions on that as well.

imortality is kind of a two sided thing, it would suck because you would never age while everyone you love does and will die. Although the good side is well obviously not dying of course but also you can do anything without having to worry about injuries. so yea....

I'd be against becoming immortal. I would absolutely hate being immortal since it means that I wouldn't be able to experience death. I crave knowledge, and one of the things that I've wondered the most about is the idea of a continued existence after our lives end. If I was immortal, then the answer to that would forever elude me.

If made immortal (which I wouldn't WANT to be) then I would spend a lifetime on each continent; that way, no one suspects me except for the part about me never getting older. Lots of whatthefuckery there/

I don't know what I would do. I would probably amass knowledge and have fun.

You can still be tortured. You can still be ripped apart. The point of immortality is that a force is holding you onto this land. No matter how much horrible shit you've been through, you can't die. Or, the other idea of immortality that it is just a force protecting you. You can't be afflicted with any fatal wounds. Either way, you can still be hurt, and you can still feel pain.

Needless to say, I don't want to be immortal.

Being immortal would suck for anyone trying to kill themselves.
