This summer, there is a very good chance that I will be visiting Japan. Could you recommend any places to visit, and for what reasons? It can be for anything; eating, entertainment, sightseeing, shopping, etc. So far, I just have obvious ones: Shibuya, Akihabara, Ikebukuro, and Omotesando. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about the regions. I'm interested in the Kanto and Kansai regions, but if the other regions are nice, I could give them a try. But I don't know how easy it is to travel to other regions. So yeah...I'm not sure.

Im not sure if its actually back up yet, they took it down in after the disasters last year, but if it is up you should go see it

You should visit some of the shrines around Lake Suwa. Totally worth it.

i was there a couple years ago. i suggest visiting kyoto, very beautiful place. and if youve ever seen Neongenisis Evengelion, then visit Hakone. "Tokyo 2" is based off of that provenince. um, definatly fuji, and the Tokyo Tower. if your a gamer then try hitting up the Square Enix japan headquarters, tho i dont really know where it is lol.
