i usually dont do anything for valentines day, but i sit a super festive lunch table this year, so we all decided to celebrate every holiday and season change

Unfortunately I'm in a long range arrangement so I'm a bit limited. Though my girl is big into classical music so the most I could do was get her choice tickets to a big production for her and her mom(also big into music). She's loving it so far, god bless buying tickets on the internet XD.

When it comes to Valentines Day, my friends and I all make/buy sweets for one another ^^ Each person in the group is part of a pair who they designate as their Valentine, too, so everyone gets one nicer gift. It's a lot of fun. Even if we have boyfriends/girlfriends outside of the group, we do it the same way. ( A jealous boyfriend wouldn't stand a day with all us around :| )

Then we break off into our own groups and spend the day after school together. Sometimes we'll go to a resturaunt or a bakery, other times we'll go to the mall or just hang out. It depends on the group. My group is having a videogame festival (Portal, Call of Duty, Skyrim, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, etc.) like the nerds we are.

Unfortunately, we couldn't afford melting chocolate this year, so my presents consist of just basic Hershey kisses, candy canes, and flowers for everyone, as well as a little stuffed animal and poetry book for my Valentine. Not as much as usual (I made chocolate covered pretzels with various candy coatings last year), but I think it'll still be acceptable. The feeling is what matters >D

It really bugs me when people think you can't celebrate Valentines Day without a boyfriend/girlfriend. Saying you have nobody to celebrate it with is sort of obnoxious. Don't leave your friends out of the love >O

Again, though, it is possible that she's just looking toward other things and sort of moving on. It's probably best to just lay low and see what happens. If she keeps breaking away from you, it's probably best to kick that best friend status to acquaintance and keep it touch, but not dwell on her too much.

I found out a cool little fact the other day. In Wales we have a not-so-popular saint (St. Dwynwen) who's day is celebrated like that of St. Valentine (Only on the 25th of January). So Welsh people essentially get two days like this. XD
