So, I was wondering if anyone has any out-of-the-ordinary powers or something like that. For instance I can tell the future. I dream, and sometime in the future I know it's going to happen, and only realize it AFTER it happens. Anyone else have something like a special power or something?

I heard on television some person has a huge memory capacity. He can recall any day of his life like it was yesterday. Apparently about 20 people in the world have this capability. Something to do with the brain? I'm not sure but i find it interesting. Also powers are possible in people, not really "powers" powers but like...ability? All in all, i totally believe in telekinesis and the power of the mind and all that jazz. Not that i would know though.

I get premonitions of deaths in my family. As my great grandmother's. I walked up to her daughter and asked "who was the man with the beard who helped you get her out of the house to go to the hospital?" She hadnt told anyone else yet and was very disturbed. I stopped a friend from walking on a traintrack bridge, as just before i saw her getting hit. A train went by not long after. likewise with my grandfather. Also I can sense emotions of people, even over the internet.

I get deja vu all the time, its not a power. I also have a sixth sense in when I can tell something bad has happened to me or someone I care about, even if I am not around.

Example: I was at the movies one night with my (now ex)girlfriend and a friend. Out of nowhere this strange burst of sorrow came through me and I knew something was wrong at my house. I didn't know what it was, just knew something wasn't right. I get home and found out that my puppy had been hit by a car.

I have had other things like that happen. Anyways I know its not a power and it is something that some people just have, its just like they are more in tuned or something. It's like twins and how they can be half a world apart and know the exact second they die. Is weird, but it happens.

Im not sure if i believe in "super powers" but if it counts for anything: im pretty good at sensing if something is wrong with another person or if some thing is about to happen, its almost kind of a subliminal thing. i guess to put it straight, my premenitions about things are almost always right.

I have the ability to see into the past.

Well, I've had a freaky deja vu experience when I was in high school. It just hit me like a brick wall, and was just as strong. I was taking a test that I have never seen before, in a place I've never taken a test before(lunch room), the second I opened the test booklet, I slammed my hand over the questions, and "Remembered" what all the questions were, and what the answers I put down. When I looked at the questions, they were exactly the same as I had Deja vu-ed, and written down the answers "I did before" and all of them were right!
That freaked the hell out of me!

I personally am open to the possibilities of abilities such as predicting the future, speaking to ghosts, telekenesis, etc. I've never seen proof of any of them, except speaking to spirits, but I try to keep an open mind. So I'm not going to doubt any of these powers that people claim to have, nor believe them unless there is proof. Unless, of course, people start claiming to be Spider Man, in which case I will point and laugh.

I kind of count this as an ability, but I sometimes will just be talking to a friend, stop mid-sentence and start telling them whatever I start seeing. The next day, everything I said happends. Same with my dreams, I once had this dream in which I was accepted into my schools E=mc^2 program even though it was in the middle of October. I got this coral colored letter in the mail and read it and was really happy. When I woke up, I told my sister about it and she just thought it was a weird dream. Three days later, I get the same exact letter in the mail, it was identical with the same font and colors and content O.o it freaked me out. this isn't really a "power" as much as a strength, but I sometimes have an extremely powerful intuition.

Incredible Luck/ God's protection, I'm not going to get into religion, so I'll just go with the former. There are numerous times where I should have died, if not for a fraction of a chance. I've accidentally sliced my wrist on glass, and never hit a vein, had a nail go through my chest, just barely missing my heart, had a lung collapse, several car wrecks where a jagged piece of metal just grazed my throat, fell out of a 2 story window, slammed into a tree at high speeds, snapped my neck twice, and had many death dreams, some of which caused my heart to stop in real life, I was legally dead.....
I think that I can not die..... Unless I do something to test it, in which my "protection" would stop, and I would die.

Either that or death just has a really twisted sense of humor.

Yes that last part was a joke, but I really can read minds sometimes. Example: If I tell a friend to think of a playing card, I know what card they think of. Not with 100% accuracy of course, but it still has a very high sucess rate.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a power, but I have a pretty ridiculous amount of endurance. I don't mean to wear it out but I went through ranger school in the Army. At the start, our class had 120 people (approximately) and we graduated with about 21, including me.

It was 9 weeks of 1 hour of sleep per day, 1 MRE (shitty military meal that is dried out) per day and an endless amount of nearly impossible drills and exercises. 40k ruck marches with 70-80 pounds of gear + your body armor, weapon and ammo weight. 10-15k runs regularly. Scaling high cliffs with said, trudging through knee deep mud that constantly sucked your boots off as you walked through it. People we're so hungry and tired by the end of it that some of us started to hallucinate. Factor in all these conditions and throw in a live fire exercise at the end that requires a high amount of coordination and teamwork, and you've got ranger school in a nutshell.

First time in my life I've seen grown men cry. 9 weeks of straight hell. So I would count my unusual ability as above average endurance.

I have a really weird thing that happens with people I'm close to. Sometimes I can somehow tell what they're thinking or see what they're were thinking about. example: One night I'm thinking of what I want to eat, and a weird idea just popped into my head; fried spam, sliced down the middle into strips. I run to go tell my mother, who cooks in our house, and she says that that was so weird, because she was just thinking that same thing. I had the same thing happen with my best friend, so I know it's not a mother-son thing. I sometimes have those dreams like ShadowBlade described sometimes and don't realize I had already seen something until after the fact that it happened. It's really strange having something you brush off as a dream happen in real life.

Evidence: Once I sat down at my desk for over 3 hours doing nothing. I was not bored at all.
Reason: I'm not sure. But sometimes I start thinking about something, then i think about other stuff, then that leads to like, hallucinations (like responding out loud to my thoughts, laughing, smiling, crying, etc).
After the 3 hours I just did my hw like nothing happened. I realize slowly after a while what happened, and sometimes it bothers me... :P

Well, I have an ability to think what other people think. Not really mind reading, but rather, I can set my mind to another person's way of thinking, so I can predict what they are about to do or say. However, there is a problem with it, I might lose myself in that way of thinking, for ex: If I'm trying to figure out what a criminal is about to do, or if I wonder "why would they do that" I start to think like they do to figure it out, but then urges to do what they would do keep creeping up, and if frightens me sometimes.

I thought this thread wouldn't make it this far. Most of the posts here are deja vu stories.

Now, I wouldn't call it a power, I also wouldn't say that I have the ability to communicate with the deceased. But I do get strong feelings now and again. Kind of like those feelings you get when someone is staring a hole in the side of your head or when someone is holding your hand. Its kind of hard to explain but its gotten some interesting results in the past.

I also get weird flashes of memories that are by no means mine. But that could just be my writer's imagination getting the best of me.

Due to the lack of proper joints at birth, I can twist my wrists 360 degrees in a circle, and touch my thumbs to my wrists by bending them backwards. Other than that, I dunno? My eyes change colors, but that's about it.

I used to be able to dream of the future, but it rarely happens anymore. If anything, I can simply feel the energies of the dead and sometimes pick up certain details about them.
I also have very strong links with those close to me and can feel when they're experiencing a strong emotion, even if they are far away.
Oh, and I honestly don't care if people think that I am lying. I don't need others to believe me to know that it is true.

Sometimes I dream of something probable and ordinary, like someone wearing a certain jacket or bringing something to school that they might not normally, and it happens! It started out being a bit creepy but now I'm pretty used to it since it happens at least a couple times a month.

Haven't seen this thread in a long time. Here's one I developed about three month ago:

I can slow down my perception of time to where two seconds for me is one for everyone else. Like, if something were to take one second for everyone else, it would take two for me.

There are times when I start wondering about things they come up. Weird.

I have the ability to zone everything out completely and create my own worlds to play in. In other words: I have a potent imagination.

I suppose I could call mine "Intense Deja vu" I don't really know how it works but sometimes something is happening and I realize that it already happened before and I can even say something someone is going to say before they say it. These moments aren't very long or memorable but it's still very strange. My mom has telepathy. She can think of someone and they'll contact her. She can think of something and something relating to what she was thinking about happens. Her's happened much more often.

I used to think I could control the wind... but I was in third grade and I was lying to myself so.. no.

Once, about four years ago, I pet my cat who had been dead for a year at that point. I was sitting at a low table, and she rubbed against my legs, so I pet her. I was tilting my head under the table to just catch a glimpse of the cat, but Bearcat disappeared right then. I don't know how I knew it was Bearcat, but it was definitely her. We had no (living) pets at the time, and I still wonder how I stayed calm. This really helped me get over the grief of her death. This is the only time I have ever felt or communicated or anything with any sort of ghost.

When I play cards, if there is a selection of facedown cards, I move my hand slowly over the cards and if it is a good card to play I "feel" a color in my hand, normally the opposite of the color on the back of the card; if the backs are blue I "feel" a yellowy orange color. The "stronger" the color, the better the card. I wonder if this is like >>120 's thing with lottery tickets; I have never tried it before.

I can predict super natural events by dreaming (almost like you)... and I have deja vu a lot!

My ability isn't really my ability. The world just seems to prefer me over other people, from what I've seen. I've almost never lost a game of luck (minus lotteries and raffles) and I've never actually gotten hurt before. People have went to hit me and stuff, but something or someone always intervenes. Also, I don't remember how to do anything that I've been able to do, I just sort of do it. Math, archery, martial arts, swordplay, driving, using firearms. I'm good at all of them, but don't actively remember how to do any of it. I see what I need to do, and I just do it.

So, I guess you could say my power is "Extended Beginners Luck" where the luck just applies for a long time/forever. Or maybe "Perfect Instinct" where I am good at almost everything instinctively.

Mine seems to be like a voice in my head or maybe a side personality that when it tends to just say something for no reason, it happens. Like suddenly having a thought come out of nowhere but it happens. For example my dad came home from work and had just gotten a hair cut. I thought to myself that I would say hey it looks good but I hadn't looked at him yet. Then a sudden thought came in "it was cut too short" then I saw him a few seconds later and he complained as I turned to see him that the lady had cut way too much. It's happened a lot throughout my life but I can never control it. Once, my dad told me my uncle was in the hospital but didn't tell me why. I suddenly splurged out and said "he doesn't have much time left, go visit him tomorrow" and my dad came home the next night to tell me he had passed away. After that I just started to keep to myself. This wasn't something I asked for, much less need.

It is not an actual super power or nothing out of the ordinary, but sometimes my senses randomly become extremily good, especially listening and smelling. For example there was this time when a little big butterfly enter to my department. I was lock in my room with my headphones listening to music at an normal volume, when suddenly for some reason the music volume seems to increased a lot even though i din´t raised it. I unplug my headphones because it was to load and before i could play the music again i listend
briefly the beating of wings. And after i concentrate a little i could hear the butterfly perfectly, when it was flying, when it stop and even have an idea on how far or close it was. then it became harder until i could no longer hear it and when i tried and plug my headphones again and lisent to the song at the exact same volume it was back to normal again
