Sirnak's the name from my Assassin Cross in Ragnarök Online. The name actually is based in the Megaman ZXA character Siarnaq, but I liked the way it sounded. So, I ended up keeping it up.
Since the Assassin (before Assassin Cross) clothes are purple, I became famous in some Ragnarök role playing events as the "purple spy", so I use the purple color in the chatroom!

"Lustral" was honestly picked by opening the Gage Canadian Dictionary about 5 years ago now when a friend and I were looking for Gaiaonline usernames. I landed on L and pointed to the page and got LUSTRAL -- to use in a rite of purification or something of the sort. Either way I've used this name for anything. Or at least a variation of it ex: Lustraal for twitter.

This lead to many online nicknames beginning in the letter 'T' Tessa, Tex, Tactician, the works.

In MMO's, my friend always went by Kasumi. When we started a new MMO together, I was thinking of a name and I wanted to do something similar. So I looked up the meaning of "Kasumi" in japanese, and it translated to "mist". So I looked up alternate translations of mist into japanese, and I thought it was funny that one of the results was the literal romanized pronunciation of the word.
I use it because nobody has called me out on it yet. It's somewhat a parody for uncreative/generic japanese-themed names that people use online, since it's actually an english word - an uncreative one at that.

It's just funny seeing people named "SASUKESAN290138" say my name is cool.

Honestly, I picked "Chitose" because it comes from a rather unknown manga. lol. Yumekui Kenbun: Nightmare inspector by Shin Mashiba.
The character I took it from is a guy... Chitose Kurosu, but it sounded girly, so I adopted it.

But on the internet, WITH MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, you complain about "oh, I did *insert something here* to that guy since he had the same name as my friend(s) and it would've gotten confusing." I liked Synergy more than others. Then, a while back, I bought a Zune HD, but since I live in Australia, I wanted the app store available for it, so I made an American email. I had used Synergy for my Australian email, so I used CurelessSynergy as the new name. Then, I went to the Dollars chatroom and the word limit shortened it to CurelessSyn, so it's mine now.

I loved Blood+, even though Solomon had to die, and was an antagonist, I loved how internally he was not really a bad person. His love for Saya was what really got to me, he died trying to protect her, yet he knew damn well that she was his enemy. He along with Nathan Mauler were the most human in the heart and mind than any other Curopteran. That is why I chose the name Solomon, and also 12012 is one of my favorite bands.

This actually came from Greek Mythology. When I was little, I used to do so much research on muses. There was 9 goddesses whom each was a figure of inspiration for a field. I was originally ixMUS3(9 Muse), but then cut back to Muse for a more original feel.

I normally go by eronth, which is the two names for one of my characters in a story I'm writing. Ero is his real name. When he time travels, he picks a new name so that people don't realize who he is. The new name is onth. I just overlapped the o for eronth. Recently, however, I've been sometimes using emf. I got that from physics class. We went over emf, and something about it seemed right. It somehow feels like it compliments eronth.

Mine is actually a combination of some old characters.
Chugo came from Chongi a wingless dragon I came up with when I was little (who I think was influenced heavily by dumbo because it had massive ears) And Seika one of two of my newer twin dragons.

I'm a big guy and one day I wore a blue jacket and blue jeans and a friend said I looked like a giant blueberry.
So the name stuck on me and I changed the ending from berry to Barry because I wish that was my name since I've never meet a person with that name.

My name has dual meanings.
Originally, It had to do with the character from MGMN Battle Network. (Known as Bass.exe in America). I tacked on Sigma because that is one of his forms, and I have always like the greek letter sigma.

The other meaning has to do with the literal interpretation of the words.

I got the idea for "reilyx" because I liked the name "reisa" while starting the process to have my name legally changed. Unfortunately, "reisa" is a girls name, so I had to come up with a masculine version.

Technically, it stands for "laughter." Though, it's also my own creation. I did some research and it seems uncommon, even as a screen name. Something I can pretty much call my own.

The lack of caps is also intentional. "reilyx" is only a fraction of my name, and the portion that I go by. It is also the non-important part, whereas the other portion holds significant meaning and very important to my daily life.

My name is just the kanji for Reiko Ishikawa. Even though my name is actually spelled with 麗 (a different kanji for "rei" meaning "lovely"), I choose to spell it with 霊 (meaning "spirit" or "ghost") online. Not too imaginative I guess, but I like it :3

I've had it for as long as I've been on this site, essentially.

I want to change it because sometimes I think the silliness of using a flat-out romanized japanese word outweighs the irony of its usage, and that I would be better suited with a more unique name. No offense to you, of course, since using plain words in other languages is normal; I probably put too much importance on the matter.

But the name in itself, particularly the last four letters, are what people insist on recognizing me as now, so I don't have that option without the trouble of it outweighing both the aforementioned sides.

I've used [T]Suri as my nickname and handle since I was around 6. It started when I would always rub the heads of people who were down in the dumps. The Japanese onomonopeia for rubbing was Tsuri, so my friends called me that. Recently, a few years ago, I shorted it to Suri, because I didn't like being called Tsu.

My username all started when I discovered saying rare meat quickly sounds like Remy (my IRL name), and that led me to thinking about what other things sound like my name. Eventually I came across Remedy Solace, (Remy de Salis) which I actually really liked. I adapted it as my fantasy name in general, using variations such as Remadis Soladim, Reemus Soladus, Remuli Soladis, that kind of thing. I decided on my second favourite honorific "-tama", a combination of "-tan" (baby) and "-sama" (roughly meaning highly respected). Well, my first period teacher from freshmen year of highschool mis-pronounced my last name as "McGurgan" and it stuck throughout thos four years. When we got our XBOX 360, my live username was McGurganator, because why not? I added the ZX at the end because 1) I used a dummy email at first and couldn't remember it, and 2) because I thought it was cool, and that Megaman ZX was, and still is, cool.

Well, as a kid I had always loved picking up rocks that were on top of soil for a long time and finding Roly Polies. They are those little bugs that curl up into a ball when they are exposed out of the soil or are touched. I always had a fascination with them. I thought, how sad that there bugs are so afraid of the world that every time they get out into it, they curl up and miss everything. I wanted them to see the world and be happy. :D

Later, I've now realized I'm the same way in many ways. I miss a lot of experiences and opportunities because I'm curling up in my own way. :/

My username is derived from a programmer I've known on the web almost ten years ago. I really respect his job and to keep a memento of him, have this username. Some other people started using it recently on the web, though, and can be found via Google, but they aren't me, as I use this username only if I won't appear on search engines.

I do not want Katsono to become my general identity, it's just the one mask I use when I don't want to be related to anything.

Everyone keeps on pronouncing a syllable in my name as "chess". Again and again I keep on correcting them that it's pronounced as "Ses". That particular syllable is "Ces".

Andy is my real nickname that I've had since childhood. one day I needed a username so I combined it with fire and used that name ever since.

If i need to write a story for school i always write a character in the story called Siobhan. The name came from a character in a fan fiction i once read.

'Kokoro' is taken from the first opening of Shugo Chara 'Kokoro no Tamago' - when I registrated myself years ago for the first time in a little forum of a SC-fansite the weeb-me wanted something short and japanese. (That was like - when I was newly twelve okay.) And somehow I stick with that name because there's so many people that know me as Kokoro.

On here I use a short form of what has become my pen name, Zsign KRay. When I first created my pen name, I was watching the anime Fafner for the first time. The mecha fafner named Mark Sein caught my eye and I thought it was really cool. Thing was I thought it was spelled Zsign instead of Sein. So I started signing things that way on my stories. I had also wanted to switch the name over to my dream Gundam which I had been trying to design.

In the chatroom, I use Zsign KRay. Where the KRay comes from is cause most characters that I create start with a K. And one of my first characters for the Gundam universes was named Kariya Ray. And the Ray originally came from Amuro Ray of the original gundam series.

KRay also holds another origin and that origin has those origins from above. As my Gundam characters evolved and I switched universes, so did their names. It came to the Gundam 00 universe in which I named my character Kali Reyes, another form of KRay.

But the real start to this was when I first joined Fanfiction in 2011 and decided to implement this pen name. The first story I published, the main character was named Dakoda Aria Ray. Koda Ray for short. So I took my character's name and placed it in the pen name.

And that is how I became Zsign KRay.

Well, 'Haru' is part of my pen name, and 'Rei' is part of my main character's name. Both names have meaning to me, so I didn't pick them by accident.

This girl called me ozzybanini, and eventually I got her to stop. When I went home, the name sorta stuck with me. I ended up using it as a username for another account. I couldn't think of anything else, plus I didn't think I'd use the account anyways. In the end I did use it and the name sorta works for a username. I decided if I can't think of a username, i'd just use some name that someone called me at one point because those names are fun to look back on.

Well my name on here use to be RiuChan, but I combined it with my first username ever, "Rikkuyo". And that's it.

My chatroom name used to be Xehnpo, later shortened to Xehn by a few friends. Pronounced like 'Shen', not 'Zen' btw. Well, I was a big Kingdom Hearts fan at the time so I took a random name, Pheno, and mixed it with an X. Thought it sounded pretty cool honestly :3

Back when I was 12, me and my friends used the word epic a lot, since that was the cool thing to do. I used the word to describe myself. And my initials are KT, so I put the two together and BAM. EpicKT was born. It stuck with me and I use it for various websites.

I wanted a name that wasn't masculine or feminine so I could use the black icon in chat. I was thinking back to my AQW character 'Xiouyen' (from that one TV show I can't even remember) and was inspired to begin my name with a X and I just added whatever letters sounded cool.

Mine was from the anime Drrr! I likeit because it is easy to remember.

Chi-chan got her name from Juli! You know, Juli the squirrel from Brothers Conflicts. When I entered this community suddenly Juli voice rang in my head, "CHIII!!!". :D

It was my old nickname a friend gave me because she thought my name was too normal. Everyone liked it and it sort of stuck. I also used other variations of the name including but not limited to "Kessie", "K" and "Kestral".

The Chinese character "黃" is my surname, and it literally translates to "Yellow" in English. Yellow seems a bit too stale to be used as a forum nickname, so I decided to go with "Xanthous", which is in turn a synonym of "Yellow".

I've been called a villain by the people around me for how I ruthlessly use people as pawns with extreme emotional detachment, plus I have glasses, and an admitted fondness for the way kanji look, so thus "megane no akuyaku," "villain in glasses."

I came up with this name on this day 2 years ago. Basically I was going through some mental issues around that time and wanted to change. I had looked through my English-Japanese dictionary one day and found the words "hiraita" and "kigai". According to my dictionary they ment "open" and "mischief". At that time I was done with being too nice like I always was, and was even more tired of never speaking up about anything. I decided those words fit me perfectly, and thus Hiraita Kigai was born.

I used to be really into Warrior Cats a long time ago, and I made a warrior cat name up, Ivyleaf. Stuck with me ever since. 33 is just my fave number ^^

My name came from Nagakura Shinpachi (not the character, the actual person). In the real world, I have a Japanese name despite not actually being Japanese (at all), but I know a fair amount about Japanese culture due to my upbringing. That and the fact that I was kinda silent when walking and simply popped up in the middle of groups in the school's yard got me the nickname Dubi, abbreviation of the word dubious. 4 years passed and I'm still using that name both on the net and in reality, even though im in highschool now. Not as dubious anymore though, just to inform you :P

I was making an account for Reddit, and I wanted it to be distinct. My name is literally Vitae + u, vitae means life in latin and I added the "u" as a kind of way to beat the common "username already taken".

Well I had wanted to type a name (forgot what) but somehow ended up mistyping almost every letter so I was like, "eh, I'll go with it"

Well... to be honest... I just needed a name to troll a certain thread.
I had absolutely no inspiration for a new name, though didn't want to use one of my former usernames, so I was skimming through the intro board where I suddenly found a new user introducing themself as Chronos.
I took their name with the intention to abuse it only for one single thread.
However, since their introduction had been deleted after a few days, I continued using their name without any guilty conscience...

Well, I was looking for a reasonably generic name to use to hide my identity. Normally I would choose a cool and nerdy name like Cthulhu or YoloSwaggins, but then I thought; why not go simpler. That's when it came to me. James. Not complicated, generic, and very grey. James. And that is the Nick I stuck with. My mask. But I have only used this Nick here so far.

I use mine for almost everything. The Ninja part came from my Ninja Penguin stuff animal that was sitting on my desk at the time I was creating the name. The second part of the name was inspired by Detective Conan, which was the anime that I was currently watching. Since it is a Nick that I can use pretty much anywhere, I stuck with it. I first started using TheNinjaTantei but later dropped 'The' and just stuck with NinjaTantei.

Mine used to be kawaiiotaku bcuz that's just me, but I later shortened it to k_0 bcuz it doesn't make me sound desperate for attention. I'm also known as the girl that replies 'k' to almost everything irl so I guess it suits me. I'm also called Chalola irl bcuz that's just an embarrassing nickname that wont go away (my best friend made it up, and I'm honestly fine with it)

I'm not really sure where the phrase itself first came to me. I always heard words in other words, and Hiroshima(Hero-Shima) and Nagasaki(Naga-sake) where no different. I guess I just thought it would be funny and edgy to name myself naga sake, but after a while I stopped thinking of the city and started thinking of Naga the monster and Sake the drink.
