i kinda feel like everybody expect too much from me and i always have this fear that i'll dissapoint everyone. My family, my friend, my techer would they still likes me even if i cant put up to their expectation?. Idk guys if you have an advice for me please let me know.

Hi. I deal with a lot of the same feelings. I did really well in high school but am having a really hard time in university, so I've been really depressed about being a failure and a disappointment. Something that's helped me grow out of this shame is just spending time with people from different backgrounds and life paths. It gives a lot of perspective about my own place in life. Everyone has a different idea of success. Even if the people in my life don't approve of me when I can't meet their expectations, at the end of the day, the most important thing is that I'm alive and happy with myself. People will be disappointed, and it might be difficult for a while, but the world won't end. It's not easy to achieve, but having this perspective relieves a lot of unnecessary stress that distracts from what's right in front of me.
