how do you even differentiate romantic feelings and platonic feelings?? ive read a lot of romance books, webtoons, manga or watched TV Shows but still, i cant seem to do it. im so confused

I think that stereotypes in those tv shows and manga often lead us to percieve reality in our own fantasy of our own choosing.

At the end of the day, both of the are love. Regardless of whether you have a romantic or platonic relationship with someone, you still love them, and deeply care about their affairs and state of being.

The only distinction from what I can tell is in romantic feelings, you want to have sex with them.

The problem is that you’re reading fiction and you have to be yourself. Use real tactics and find someone yourself.

Agreed, You'll know when your in Love it feels like butterflies in your stomach . Now if you are already in Love and don't know how to act just Make a simple Move by just casually bumping into them and start a conversation and ye Be Yourself. Now if your still confused just straight out Ask them if they just say "No were just friends" then it's Platonic Feelings But They Still Care About You, Just like Us Here.

Hey y'all I'm talking Abt this here cus I have no where else to vent but the weirdest shit just happened idk I think it's just me being awkward asf but here it goes. For some background, my dad is a rlly good guy and he works hard for our family but his job requires him to travel a lot and that usually results in him actually being with us for around 5 months out of the years, but those months are scattered. We haven't talked beyond "how was your day" in a very long time and there are some days that I don't even talk to him at all cus he's working and I'm working. It's gotten to the point we're looking or being in the same room as him has gotten awkward. Today i went into the kitchen to make a sandwich and I had some mustard on my knife and I thought I would lick a bit off from it and I was staring into space, and my dad was on his computer across the room and I didn't realize I was actually staring at him while I was licking the knife and idk he looked at me and stared for like a second and it was just so so so so so so weird.

I also struggle to pull apart romantic and platonic feelings, and I think the more I watch TV shows and movies, the worst I become. You know, have you ever tried a food that everyone seems to love, but you hate it? So you keep trying, thinking maybe next time, it'll be better? I think it's the same with consuming a lot of romantic/etc type fiction, and trying to recongise it in your real life. Obviously, you can't, because it's all made up. Sometimes I've thought I had romantic feelings and they turned out to be platonic, and sometimes the other way around.

Jodisan and TaroBoba are right. When you try to figure it out through the lense of the media, it's harder to navigate with your own personal control.

if you can't think about wanting to ☆☆☆☆ them, its all romantic feelings or fuzzy friendship feelings. like im p sure the farthest i wanna go with one of my friends is a kiss.
