Lookings for advice (3)

Hey I'm the ghoster from the secrets thread and I actually came online because I was hoping to ask someone for advice. To recap I'm a month behind in uni activities because I indefinitely postponed checking it out, and I wish to see updates about it for today but I still can't find the will to open all the messages from group projects I missed.

The obvious solution is to just check it out, of course, but how can I make this action more palatable and actionable without wanting to exit everything and skip classes once again?

Hi chronic ghoster.

I'm in the same boat! Even just opening my Emails gives me anxiety! :( The way I manage this is to call a friend (anyone close will do!) and speak with them on the phone or video while I check what I've missed. You mentioned you have ghosted everyone, and unfortunately you will have to reach out to someone again. People do care and surely someone will be willing to sit with you for five minutes.

If you genuinely have nobody to ask, I would set up a call/appointment with your profs/teachers. Tell them your situation, and tell them you are here to get your act together and find out all you need to catch up on. I think you will find especially in these crazy times, people are very understanding and tolerant when we are struggling. Best of luck.

Just saying I completely get that feeling, I think a lot of us fell into this hellhole of a problem.
